DonS 3,288 Posted December 17, 2019 I know this movie has been mentioned in previous threads, but might as well mention it again: Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil. More comedy than horror, but so damn funny and violent.

MDC 6,860 Posted December 17, 2019 If you liked The Witch another one you might want to check out is Hagazussa on Netflix. It is glacially slow and weird as fock though.

I have a soft spot for that because I first watched it via a couple bootleg video files when in Afghanistan (contractor, not Digby Navy SEAL). One video was much better quality than the other, so of course I watched that one. All was fine and dandy until pretty much the climax when all of a sudden I realized that the audio switched from English to some Eastern European language! It actually took me a bit to realize because there was fighting going on. WTF? I then had to switch to the lesser quality video to finish it out. Good times. DonS 3,288 Posted December 19, 2019 Rewatching Green Room on Netflix. Not really horror, but some brutal violence and well acted. Jean Luc Picard as a white supremacist! Can't beat that!
MDC 6,860 Posted December 22, 2019 I rented a movie last night called In Fabric on Prime. It was the weirdest I have seen in a long while, reminded me a LOT of David Lynch making a 70s Italian horror movie. Maybe a little Terry Gilliam I’m there a little. Also if you haven’t seen it I forgot to mention Mandy with Nick Cage from 2018. I felt like I was high the whole time.

posty 2,531 Posted April 17, 2023 I don't see a thread about horror movies, so will add on to this one... Saw this article at the Daily Mail: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11976003/Netflixs-terrifying-films-revealed-fans-left-scarred-life-throwing-up.html It mentions that these horror movies have left people scarred and throwing up and other things... Anyone know anything about these? @MDC, any insight? Movies mentioned in article: The Strays Fall Unlocked Incantation Old People The Call Been watching a lot of horror movies recently, some have been pretty damn good... I really liked "The Menu" and the two "Quiet Place" movies and the two "Escape Room" movies weren't too bad (the first better than the second...) I've seen Fall. It's only scary if you've got a fear of heights, which I sort of do. I've worked my way out of it and am pretty good up to about 80 feet now. No way I'd ever rock climb or try climbing a tower like the girls do in the movie. So yeah, my palms were sweating the entire time. Love horror, will watch the others for sure.
