I had dinner with a friend over the weekend who I had not seen for a couple years.  He works on the COVID floor of his hospital.  His job is to get prepare patients for discharge from the hospital.  He told me that things have been much better recently but November was terrible.  They were full and people were dying every day.  It's been incredibly stressful for him as he would see couples come in together with COVID and many of them would get discharge by themselves because one had passed away.  This was the first time him and his wife had been out to eat since last March.

No.  He was right that many of those deaths were easily preventable by not locking down. Lock down a made it worse. The guy should get a Pulitzer.

If you’re talking “cases,” that’s probably mostly true, however slowing down the initial spike gave the country more time to learn about the virus and of course not overwhelm the health care system (in many areas, of course in some that happened anyway), which would have resulted in more both covid and non covid deaths.

We also have a vaccine now, and I believe current estimates on the high end are only maybe 20% of the country has had covid so far.  So the vaccine will save lives by vaccinating people that haven’t caught it yet (even if it means maybe they still catch it but don’t get seriously ill).

The fact that there isn't massive antibody testing is a crime. Isn't it of supreme importance to have that data? The conspiracy theories to which I subscribe are all based on what I feel is an intentional ignorance of that data.

It's available for private consumption. It should be heavily promoted and supported more.  These are numbers that are the most important to establishing exactly where we are from a scientific standpoint.  Why would the party of science not be screaming for this data?  Obviously because of what it might contain.

The goal is total power.  Once we accept any level of control, they will never give it up.  They can now make a case the extend the lockdowns forever by claiming there is a mutation of covid or right wing riots.  The next step is to roll out a BIG or some kind of monthly stipend.  This is a police state.  Reeducation camps are being threatened now.  If you have a job, they already force you into a reeducation program about politics.
