I said what it CAN do.   I.e., kill people or put them in the hospital for weeks at a time.    Don't need to "follow the science" in order to see that.

The science says it can do all that to people who are already morbidly sick.  So, everyone who is carrying on with their lives is actually following the science more than those who claim to be.  :dunno:

People have known what thr Flu can do all these years as well.   And a decent % at least before covid wouldnt mind if they were in the same room as someone they knew had the Flu.

Weird how that works

Lol that people still think covid isn’t worse than the flu...

False.   Yes, it mostly kills those with underlying conditions, but to follow up on my prior comment I’d bet it’s also put a lot more “healthy” people in the hospital than the flu ever did.

The MSM and lefties have done a number on you.  Theyve accomplished their goal.

Educating people about COVID-19? Yes they have. It’s become obvious that some people don’t want to be educated. All the doctors and scientists are lying to them, and they know better than the doctors do anyway.

I’m not sure how willful ignorance of basic science became part of the Republican brand.

Politics, man. It's all politics. The Dems were the party of "follow the science" until they ran into the teachers union buzz saw.  They're all clowns.  100 days of masks?  Based on science, huh?  Just stop.

Realize lockdowns were shat

They could all be true… in an alternate universe perhaps.

Let’s say you are right (I don’t really think that, but for sake of argument). It proves Trump is a piece of garbage politician. He was in the White House and could have used the pandemic for his political gain. Instead, he doubled down on downplaying it, attacking people who wore masks, etc. This led directly to his loss in November.

When people say masks don’t work, they aren’t going by the research. They are going by “well some people wore masks and it still spread” type of logic. The problem was - lots of people did NOT wear masks. Countries with very high levels of compliance with mask mandates, lockdowns, and social distancing such as Vietnam, Singapore, and New Zealand kicked this virus’s arse. America - our freedom is arguably our greatest strength, but sometimes our biggest weakness. Too bad we didn’t have a person in the White House that inspired people like a wartime president to sacrifice a bit for the good of all.

When you’ve got on politics-colored glasses, everything looks like politics. Too bad we had a guy in the WH that fostered this mentality, turning masks and social distancing into an us-vs-them thing instead of just saying “‘listen to the experts” and riding the outstanding response to an easy re-election.

I won't argue that Trump had bad instincts at the beginning and did some self inflicted damage. I think the most damaging was the "it will be gone in April" and "pretty soon we will have zero cases".  But the masks? No, sorry.  The magic to killing this is not cloth face coverings.

Yes congratulations that’s the one age demographic where covid isn’t worse than flu.  It’s still much worse than flu overall.

https://www.businessinsider.nl/pfizer-execs-say-theres-a-significant-opportunity-to-hike-prices-of-its-covid-vaccine/

Pfizer execs have informed the company's investors of a "significant opportunity" to hike the prices of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

People may need a third dose of the 'vaccine'.
Regular yearly "booster jabs" against COVID may also become routine.

Anyone surprised??? Won't get a penny from me.

interesting analysis here:

TL;DR: “COVID-19 is significantly more fatal than influenza at all ages above 30 years.”

The good of all would've been better served by letting the fat, old people die.  Why didn't they make the sacrifice?

If Trump swore allegiance to masks, we wouldn't be wearing masks today.

Long-term, masks won’t kill the virus. Short-term, it slows the spread while we get people vaccinated. It’s less effective than locking everybody down, but more effective than not wearing it, esp. if combined with social distancing and having activities outside instead of inside when possible.

You and your facts. “Everybody knows” COVID is harmless to everybody under age 90 who weighs less than 300lbs… that is unless you catch it from an illegal immigrant. 😜

We've beat this to death.  Masks are no more than an effort to grasp at straws and make it look like we're doing something.  There's nothing special about Covid 19s micron size, or it's routes of spread.  Everything that pertains to respiratory protection and Covid prevention were known well before all of this. Depending on what side of the bed the CDC wakes up on, you get "wear a mask to protect others" or "protect yourself with a mask".  Face coverings are really just tools for virtue signaling at this point.

6% of 0.2% were healthy.  They should make the sacrifice for the country.  Survival of the fittest is science.  Aren't we supposed to follow the science?

While I'd agree that "most" were not healthy, once again the "6%" number is wrong.   That includes things that were symptoms of covid.

As indicated above age is probably a bigger factor than health.   Of course if you instead say "they were old, they were going to die soon anyway," then you (not you specifically) can't use the "it's just the flu" argument because it's mostly old people that die from flu also.

Lambs being led to the slaughter. The astro-Z vaccine is quite the killer shot so far. 🤣

https://noorchashm.medium.com/the-safest-way-to-get-your-covid-19-vaccine-screenb4vaccine-d8a9b0bb7cbd

My very specific concern stems from the fact that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is known to accumulate in the inner lining of blood vessels — the so-called endothelium. So if a person with a recent or active COVID-19 infection is vaccinated, the highly effective and antigen specific immune response incited by the vaccine will, very likely, attack the inner lining of the blood vessel and cause damage, leading to blood clot formation. This could result in major serious problems like strokes and heart attacks, at least in some people. I project that this risk will be highest in the elderly, the infirm and those with cardiovascular disease.

Oh, you died from a heart attack not the shot, NEXT!!!!

The CDC isn't convenient for that number.  Nor for the definition of overweight.  Nor for mask usage or comorbidity.   It's really just for death numbers.  :dunno:

Yeah, no kidding. The point is that its lucky that failure happened immediately. Who know what is going to happen to these dummies getting injected with the US approved experimental 'vaccines'. Any healthy person under 80 should not be letting any version of this poison into their bodies.

LOL their numbers are fine.  It's people misinterpreting and falsifying them.   CDC lists "contributing causes."  It's not saying that all of those were present prior to them getting covid.

Yeah you're right, all those people have been living with pneumonia and respiratory failure (the top 2 "contributing conditions" listed by far) for 40+ years.

No you guys are the ones that are "interpreting" it - all it says is those are "contributing causes."  Nowhere does it say that those conditions existed previously (of course some did, but that's not what you are claiming).

You are interpreting it.   Listing someone with respiratory failure doesn't preclude them from having other unhealthy conditions like heart disease or diabetes.

I'd venture to say the percentage of otherwise healthy people that died from covid is quite low.  Do you dispute that?

Not really depending on how we're defining "quite low," but I dispute that it's 6% (or less before anyone tries to say that).
