Well, I guess there is yet more to learn on this one.....seems like this video captured the final moments of what had been an ongoing confrontation between this guy and these two pickup truck guys.....impossible to know what the reasons were that led to this guy believing that assaulting these two guys was the best option in front of him.

Also from what I see on Twitter, people have dropped the bogus jogger hunted down narrative. The goalposts have moved to “Ok so he wasn’t just a jogger but that still doesn’t mean he deserved to die!”

Eventually the attempts to erase away this guys inappropriate actions, and portray him as some innocent victim, will give way to at least some partial truth.

It probably seemed like a sweet setup for MSM and moronic SJW types to latch on and pretend that this was some kind of "proof". The MSM will use it for ratings, the SJW to enhance the perception they hold over the radicalized.

This was not only a big story because the two country bumpkins are on tape chasing down, confronting, and killing a black man, but the DA's office had the tape and didn't press charges for 74 days. Because one of the murderers was buddies with the DA. And hours after the tape became public, they suddenly had enough to make arrests. It's not just a story of racism and hate crimes, but one of corruption and thew good old boy network. The fact that the victim trespassed and didn't steal anything at a construction site does absolutely nothing to change the script. If he had stolen something, it still changes nothing. If he robbed a bank in 2015, it changes nothing.

I do not believe that every southern Caucasian is racists.  I think it is fair to look at probability.... plus the degree of uncertainty that exists in any confrontation. One never knows what another believes unless they overtly state it, or act in a manor that leads to confirmation.

My point was specifically to the probability.  If that area of Georgia was progressive with a dem sheriff like Bill E. said, then Arbery shouldn't have felt overly scared about the guys being white.

I didn't say it alleviated it, rather it reduced it.  In that same post I mentioned that I hadn't realized that the filmer was pursuing him as well, so I'm open to more data on this.  I'm just trying to figure out his mindset, since charging a guy with a gun seems extreme, particularly when there is another guy with a gun in the bed of a truck next to you.

I know many, many people this has happened to. I once had a woman in what I think is your field (engineering business development) come meet me in the downtown. She showed up late and said she’d just been robbed at gunpoint in Love Park at 12 noon.

I must be lucky. I’ve spent a huge chunk of my life in big cities and never been robbed, mugged, jumped, etc.

No, just tonight on my local news.  Look, facts are still rolling in, I'm still on the side that the two white guys should be charged with something (not sure the full culpability yet), but the narrative that Aubrey was "just out for a nice jog and hunted down to be lynched" is still full steam ahead.  Despite new video showing otherwise.  It's crazy.

I was kinda trolling you because of Philly and all as I know this stuff happens everywhere.  I had my suitcase smash and grabbed out of a friend's car at noon in the middle of downtown New Haven, home of Yale University.  Actually it seems that a lot of the ivies are in cities surrounded by otherwise poverty.  Different discussion...

He went to Drexel, which is not exactly in the best part of town.  I went there for his graduation which would be around 1991.  We were coming back from a night at the bar, maybe 2AM.  Smack dab on Market Street a car pulled up, two kids jumped out, and went straight to my brother.  He had gym shorts on with an obvious thick wallet in his pocket, which I presume is why they chose him.  Two of my bro's fraternity brothers were with us and bolted, brothers my ass.   I stood there within a few feet watching a gun at his head as they demanded his wallet wondering what I should do.  And then for reasons I don't know, they spooked, ran back to their car, and left.

As a bonus, his motorcycle was also stolen that weekend.  Ah, Philly...

Stuff happens in any city, but you wouldn’t even recognize that part of town anymore. In the time I’ve been here (1993), neighborhoods you wouldn’t walk around in at night have turned into yuppie communities with $500k+ townhomes.
