Looters aren't looting in protest.  They're looting because they're thieves and chances of being caught and punished are low. 

Yesterday  I listened to the mayor of Chicago defend her response to the looting by saying they'd been overwhelmed with 4000 calls/hour.  She was taking some heat for allowing the south and west sides to burn while seemingly protecting downtown, and other ritzy hoods.   

Then last night I watched tv coverage of looters breaking through the windows and looting the Niketown store on MI Ave.  There's no way those clowns would have gotten within 100 yards of Michigan Ave. when Daly was mayor.

I just looked at my Facebook; it's about as bad as I've ever seen it.  I don't make political posts there tho, I'm Switzerland.  Facebook is for showing how my family and life are >>>>>>>> everyone else's.

Correct.  For about 10% of them.  Most are gathering peacefully.   I'd say the ratio of good protester to bad protester is about the same as good cop to bad cop.

Now obviously this would never happen because Trump is the most effeminate and scared president we've ever had, but can you imagine the "PHOTO OP" and great coverage he'd have gained if he decided to surround himself with security and walk peacefully WITH protesters across the street to the church?  That would have been a changing moment in his presidency. And worth 1000x the publicity of a goofy, Hitler-esque picture of him awkwardly holding a bible upside down. But instead, he decided to teargas them.
