James Mattis finally opened his mouth. Long overdue. "

Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the american people- does not even pretend to try. Instead, he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. Three years without mature leadership"

These riots go much deeper than George Floyd.  This is the tone Trump set in this country. Deliberately. There's a reason that pussie holes up in a bunker at night.  This is about him and he knows it.

I don't care if he anal-raped an entire orphanage 30 minutes before his arrest. That has nothing to do with his murder. This is the go-to tactic of the racist  everytime a black guy gets killed.

Wow, pretty much sums up everything anyone needs to know about you.

If George Floyd had held a gun to his pregnant wife’s belly and threatened to shoot her Newbie wouldn’t think him a scumbag I guess.

I'd want him arrested.  Why wasn't he?

Last night, Obama urged mayors across the country to review use of force policies.  Hasn't been president in over three years and did more in a 10 minute Zoom address than Trump has done in over a week to settle down these protests.

Trump has been in political office for three years and these riots pre-date him. Both the city of Minneapolis and the state of Minnesota have been in Democratic hands for as long as I can remember except for the Jesse Ventura hiccup.

That doesn't really have much to do with Trump actively trying to calm things down right now.  He lacks leadership in moments like this.  Tweeting is worthless right now, he needs to be addressing the nation on TV.  If he can't help calm the situation then he probably shouldn't be President.

From my understanding, you risk killing someone by sitting on their neck especially if they're suffering from illness or if they're on drugs. Not sure how showing he had drugs in his system matters. A healthy person wouldn't have survived.

It's like pointing out a person didn't survive a strangulation because they had pneumonia.

I am truly grateful for Newbie for expressing what I cannot. I'm too tired to constantly ram in your brains what should be obvious.

Who here has defended the actions of the Po Po in this case?

Riots predate Trump. Riots/protests that go into a second week and spread all over the world do not.

There is a silence in this country. Imo, the silence is that many Americans are glad that the police are aggressive with blacks. They feel safer. They don't want to reprimand the police because they protect them and their neighborhoods. They don't understand how police tend to treat all black people harshly and over police us because they just don't experience it. It seems like we're overreacting. You just don't believe us or you do know and are happy about it because it serves your interests.

The same can be said for racists in power. You don't mind them because it doesn't affect you in any negative way. You can condemn it publicly but deep down, I believe many are fully aware of the injustices but since it helps them they turn a blind eye. It easier just to say blacks are in the position they're in due to fatherless black homes or they're lazy or crime prone.

And at the same time, if there were fathers in the home and a culture that demanded education, hard work and family loyalty of all our people, police brutality and racism wouldn't break us, we'd break it.

When you say that the police "over police us", do you mean white police officers or all police officers? It seems like in many high crime areas, there are more black officers, so they would then be complicit. Right? For example, 5 of the 6 Atlanta cops that were arrested for excessive force yesterday were black.

Also, when you say, "if there were fathers in the home and a culture that demanded education, hard work and family loyalty of all our people, police brutality and racism wouldn't break us, we'd break it." I don't know what that means.

There is a Black Violent Crime problem in this country and no one is allowed to talk about it.

Young black males (age 13-40) make up about 3% of the population and are responsible for about 57% of all violent crime.

Because they know they can get away with whatever the fuk they want.  No riots and looting have ever been met with this level of pacifism.

I’m glad the police are aggressive with criminals. Of all colors.

Peenie, people spin the narrative and lets you see what you wanna see. But I agree, blaming crime crime on things that make blacks seem subhuman is bullsh!t.

Floyd’s family is getting 10mil+ from this, they would have killed him themselves if they knew this would be the payday. Cousins from as far back on the family tree as Adam and Eve will now be coming out of the woodwork for a slice of the pie. People will probably get hurt or killed, surely some will overdose. Make no mistake, this is the greatest thing to ever happen to them.

So you're answer to protests against police brutality is more police brutality?

My answer to police brutality is to arrest and charge the brutal cop. Not burn down stores, which seems to be yours.

The left attacks Trump for supposedly fleeing from his duty and supposedly because he won't shut up.  Your attacks are meaningless.

They've seen too many Freddie Gray and Eric garner verdicts. Cell phones have changed everything and the legal system can no longer make up lies to justify these killings. Once they adapt, things will settle down.

The cops in the Freddie Gray case were acquitted by a black jury and judge. Don’t let that stop you though.

My attacks?  Talk about meaningless.  He's the focking President of the greatest country in the world but he can't lead.  I know a lot of you guys love his policies and I'll give him credit for some of that but there's more to being President than just that.  People tell him to shut up because he's a terrible speaker and always manages to make everything about him.

He needs to have a prepared speech and address the nation to help calm things down.  He can't give one of his typical rally speeches.  It needs to sound like he actually cares about what's going on and cares about everyone.

You mean the facts of the case? Right over newbie's head.  Doesn't fit the narrative.

Facts dont matter with him.  His soft racist views see blacks as unable to maje reasonable decisions so they must act on animalistic instincts. So of course he thinks they will riot.
