Spot on.   Once these kids have responsibilities, including financial ones, their feelings change.   It's easy to want to save the world when you are living with mommy and daddy and paying literally nothing to make these fantasies come true.  Once that changes, so does the mindset.

TBH, we've all been saying this about the liberal environmental zealots for years, "Sacrifice for thee, but not for me" has been their motto for the last 20 years.

It's nice he finally came clean, though, but do you think those zealots are going to actually sacrifice now?  Don't bet on it.  They'll continue to be the same hypocrites they've always been.  They'll make sure you sacrifice in the name of the environment, but they're not.

My point is simply that it is clear by things such as voting that people are constantly changing.  This is one key reason why I oppose gender related mutilation of children.   It's too drastic a change to a situation that is potentially rather temporary.

Sure, but answer shouldn't be inaction.   The problem is we don't move past the bickering and fingerpointing phase and to some actual changes or preparation.   At this point I am over arguing over who caused what, I think we need to talk about either big changes or survival/infrastructure to deal with the changing coastlines and other things we are going to deal with.  

Problem with all these issues that effect everybody becoming political is it gets to the point where it's "I don't want to do anything because the other side is asking for it" nonsense and nothing gets done.

The montage of celebrities flying private was funny; I did a spit take at the Dalai Lama.   

Also I had recently heard from Stossel the stat that Maher quoted:  only 5% of plastic gets recycled; much of the rest ends up dumped in the ocean by Chiner.  As such we've completely stopped recycling plastic - at least that way we're confident it ends up in a landfill.

I’ve been watching forever. Saw him live years ago, bought some books.  Didn’t agree with everything he said then, and I don’t now. He’s definitely a Democratic Party loyalist above all else. Always was. But he’s interesting, always was.
