That’s a great read. Thanks. It reminds me of my own experience. While most of my family are democrats, most of my friends, who I have known since grade and high school, are republicans.  And I remember when I was one of the only democrats in the group. Definitely the most outspoken. And I would watch the left wing MSM and they would tell me how bad and dangerous these people are. And I was like huh? No they aren’t. These are good hard working people that play by the rules and look out for their family. I was led to believe they were monsters. Monsters that wanted low  taxes, the law enforced and some 2a advocates. That’s a monster? I still believed at that time that the left had the better ideas. Then they went nuts with the culture war and the racism and vilifying cops. And and also the complete sell out to Wall Street and the banks and corporations and the military industrial complex under Obama, the guy who said he was going to change all of that. Hillary was the last straw. Now you lied about my friends and you sold out to the power on top of all that. So here we are. I wish the democrats would grow up so we could consider one side or the other. But they show no possibility of that happening. They are going to get worse before they get better. They are stuck with the Frankenstein they have created. Most of us just want to be left alone.
