Both options will drag practical national security into the ground. This is a situation ripe for an all out full blown military coup. DeSantis needs more money. Many of Trump's former major donors have gone to Nikki Haley. Unless a DeSantis/Haley ticket emerges, then the only hope to avert just endless chaos will be RFK Jr. Honestly, at this point, the country would be better off with some random mechanic who never went to college from anywhere in the US right now over Trump or Biden. How much worse could that person do as the new POTUS compared to this clear total clown show? I'm an old man now, at the end of my life, and this is the first time I can truly say that I would NOT blame anyone for deciding to outright refuse to pay their taxes anymore. (And I've never taken that position before) The average working class American is suffering and toiling, only for the political establishment to spit in their faces and make their lives harder. Why give the government more money to basically waste it, then enrich themselves openly with corruption, then gaslight you non stop in that you should support any of it at all. My first impression is that backing of RFK Jr. is like the DNC backing Trump midterm candidates -- they want them to win their primaries to run against them in the general. That being said, great post and I agree with your basic premise that either Biden or Trump would not be good for us. DeSantis/Haley would be great but there may be an objection to an all-southeast ticket. Just brainfarting here, but DeSantis/Lake might energize the Trumpers in the general. Hunter Biden is the gateway to all the financials of these LLCs , by virtue of his own self inflicted challenging of his court ordered child support payments. For the child that Joe Biden refuses to acknowledge as existing at all. By refusing to acknowledge the "extra grandchild" ( that's really a horrible thing to do to a kid period, that's indefensible on the part of the entire Biden clan) , that will cost Joe Biden many voters in the White Evangelical base. And this voting block is already at odds with Biden over his desire to make some future attempt to codify Roe into federal law if he ever gets the practical majority again to do it. Also Hunter Biden essentially being a deadbeat dad is going to enrage the suburban women voters' base. And since Joe Biden won't acknowledge the child, he is seen as complicit to it. If Joe Biden did acknowledge the "extra grandchild", then it would validate that Hunter Biden is truly a deadbeat dad without question, and then make it easier to gain public sentiment into digging harder to force Hunter Biden to release all the financials, which would essentially sink the entire Biden clan. This is a lose/lose/lose situation for the Biden Administration. I don't actually like Ted Cruz very much, but he's actually a skilled attorney and he made an undeniable point - If Hunter Biden had any other last name, he'd already be in prison right now. The DNC and their corporate cronies can't actually put the fix in on this one. Trying to interfere with the Family Court system will only blow up in their faces. They can smear the mother of the child ( for being a stripper and likely an opportunist) but then it would highlight into an issue with all the clearly underage foreign girls that Hunter used as prostitutes on those laptop videos. Hunter Biden is literally racking up millions of dollars "selling" his "art work" Just pay the child support. Why fight that when the alternative is having all your financials blown open in the public sphere and then getting your father impeached over it. Not just Joe Biden either, the scandal would require someone in the Biden family to take the fall in public. David Cohen is a current ambassador and a political crony of Biden for decades. He's a former Comcast executive. He would literally write the checks for Hunter Biden to this stripper. How can you get so much political graft like Hunter Biden, as per what's being revealed in the MSM ( they can't even hide it anymore) and still be dead broke like this? Let's just get real. If Donald Trump Jr had even 1/100th of this disaster zone that is Hunter Biden's life, the media firestorm would never end. This is clearly one of the few "Whataboutism" situations that is actually needed here, because I really don't think there is any other example a Conservative can offer up to really encapsulate how corrupt and idiotic this is to a carbon copy cutout woke radical leftist shock trooper. The only solace available here seems to be that at least this abandoned grandchild won't likely ever get their hair sniffed by creepy bumbling Grandpa Joe. Think about how insane and pathetic that this entire scandal has become when the only consolation prize is that this kid won't grow up to end up in Old Sleepy Joe's shower stall.
