I don't like metal

Recommended Posts

I just tried to play Master of Puppets.

One-third of the way through Battery and I hate it.  Like straight up focking hate it.

That's my thing with Tool.  Aside from it sounding the same over and over as if their little math theory is amazing more than once, I hate that entire category of music.

It's for angstful youth who don't know any better.

I'm sure metal feels the same way about you, Capt. Crabbypants.

Weird take, most of the people I know that love metal are much older than I am.

Perfect example.  WTF is this?  If I ever heard this from a group of dorks in a garage I would think you guys really suck.

And now one is a painter and selling his paintings for millions.

Stupidity knows no bounds.

Agreed.  Most of it is trash.  Hetfield’s voice really is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

So, you didn't even bother to listen to Orion?

Top 3 instrumental song of all time.  ANY genre.

Most of it sucks. Some of it is good. :dunno:

That's true of absolutely every genre though. I can even name at least one example of decent female rap, and I can't stand that sh!t.

Seems like the more specific the genre the lower the % of it that’s any good.

So indie rock or jazz is going to have a higher hit rate than rap, metal, etc. :dunno:

No.  I like a lot of different styles, but grew up in the 80s when I thought everything that wasnt metal sucked.  Since its tons of bands but not many in each genre.  Like I loved Sublime for awhile, but nothing like it.  I always go back to metal.

And, that's not metal.  They're like a polka band.

The only other song of sublime I know is the “love is what I got” song, which blows.

And of course they aren't metal.

Another thing to consider is rent in threads.

Create Mike Bucks and we get points based on how long someone is in our threads.

it accumulates and shows.

It might evolve into a system of weeding out what we didn't like.

if you don't like me.  Don't be in here.

Yeah. This site doesn't even allow pictures. And it still randomly crashes here and there.

Somehow I don't see Mike crunching the code and upgrading the hamster to implement your idea.

I think I understand why you don't like metal.  You are mentally slow.  I specifically spoke about other genres, and shared what is a known fun band.  I also brought them up because the really play a lot of different styles, ska, punk, hardcore, reggae, pop, and therefore a band where not all songs sound the same as you claimed about Metallica and Tool.

Not surprised.  The Culture Club life style certainly suits you.
