Why would anyone become a teacher now?

WTF is wrong with people?  Why would you think these are smart changes to be made?  No one is going to want to teach in states that start requiring this.

Why don’t you tell us what you disagree with?

It's been proven teachers are hiding and straight out lying about what they are teaching in the class. Unfortunately the Dems did this to themselves

You don't like parents taking an active roll in what schools teach?

Not really.  That's opening a huge can of worms.  Nothing with be agreed on and nothing will get done.  The education system will become an even bigger disaster than people think it is now.

Then the school boards and teachers should start leveling with the parents of the children they're teaching.  This is what happens when you burn your credibility.

Well, that tells me everything I need to know. I 100% disagree with you.

Not only do I pay taxes towards the school but I have kids in the school system. I absolutely should have a say in what is being taught.

How would anything ever get done then?  There has to be a common curriculum nationwide.  What you want kids to learn may not be what the majority of other parents want and the same goes for everyone else.  What they are suggesting adds so much more stress to an already stressful occupation.

https://www.edweek.org/leadership/districts-are-trying-to-screen-out-racial-biases-during-teacher-job-interviews-heres-how/2021/12

school districts are increasingly asking teacher-candidates questions about cultural competency, race, and equity during the application and interview process. And although districts are trying to diversify their teaching force to better match their students, it’s slow work.

“Ultimately, when we’re looking for people to serve our students, my key questions are: Can you teach these students, even if they don’t look like you, [even if] you’re not familiar with their culture? How are you going to teach them as if they were your child, your cousin, your brother, your sister?” said Karen Rice-Harris, the chairwoman for the diversity, equity, and inclusion committee of the American Association of School Personnel Administrators.

Things will get done the same why they always have.

And no there does not need to be a common curriculum nationwide. Who told you that?

I see it leading to a lot more problems with our education system.  I see it leading to more teachers leaving and fewer people becoming teachers.  It's going to be a huge mess.

How about they just go back to teaching reading, writing, math, science, history, and add in common sense basic money management (or, how to stay out of debt and save).

Or not taught, in most recent incidents.

There’s always going to be people who want every holiday, administrative days and summers off. Have no fear.

I guess we'll find out.  Seems like a bad idea to me but I don't get to make those decisions.   I can just imagine how awful it's going to be for teachers having to put up with crazy parents even more than they do now.

what hawkeye is really saying is he doesnt mind if we bring in people from india or africa that had radically different curriculum as a child, or flood the nation with illegals across the border who had maybe no education, and give them jobs.  the REAL problem is white suburban christians wanting to be included in their kids education.  they are probably republicans too, trying to teach dirty republican things.  he wouldnt want to even BE a teacher when getting oppressed by those white christians.

Weren't you the one who hemmed and hawed between Democrat and Republican during the last election?  Who controls the teachers union in the country?  Enough already.  Democrats are a cancer on this nation in every single scenario.  At least stop complaining until you pull your head out of your ass because your response seems muffled and smells bad.

We'll trade her and ten boxes of chalk to Loudoun County for a school bus driver.

This is what is wrong with the school system...this kind of thinking. Parents absolutely need to be involved with their children's education. The current system has failed for years and this crap needs to change.

What are you talking about now?  I'm just talking about how I think this could be a huge mess.  I haven't mentioned one thing about politics here.

By definition a proposed bill is political.

The answer is school choice!
