Fox News viewership demolishes CNN, MSNBC combined for 25th straight week

Recommended Posts

I just love watching these two networks go down in flames while libs are in control.

CNN’s struggling primetime lineup was outdrawn by 17 different basic cable offerings

Fox News Channel demolished MSNBC and CNN last week, outdrawing the liberal networks combined among both total day and primetime viewers for the 25th straight week.

Fox News averaged 1.5 million viewers from Jan. 31 through Feb. 6 to finish as the most-watched network on basic cable, finishing as the only option to surpass the one-million viewer mark. USA averaged 811,000 to finish second and MSNBC’s average viewership of 690,000 came in third. CNN settled for a dismal 467,000 to finish behind Investigation Discovery, Hallmark, INSP, ESPN and HGTV for ninth place.

People have asked him. Joe says it’s a sad state of affairs when people are so desperate for leadership that they ask a stone cold moron like him to run.

I’d consider voting for him. Can’t be worse than the last 5-6 at least.

The best interview I ever saw Rogan do was with Dan Peña, the trillion dollar man. That guy is a trip.

The best kind of leaders are the ones that don't want the job.   Instead, all we get are power-hungry, narcissistic autocrats to choose from.

Joe Rogan lives his life, without paying homage to a political party and ideology, we should all follow his example.  Among those of popular notoriety he is an example of what 'good" looks like.

I do not always agree with him, and when I do not agree, I listen to someone else. I do not feel compelled to cancel or crush him because I disagree.  Liberals should embrace this.

Wow, it's incredible that Fox has done this for 25 weeks in a row.  What are the odds that one news network that caters to a specific group of people would draw more audience than all the other networks who are dividing the rest(majority) of the people.  That is insane!  :shocking:

One wonders, why hasn't it then been true for 50 weeks, or 100, or 1000 weeks? 🤔

I mean, from your example, this seems rather simple and uncomplicated.  There are no behaviors involved at all.

Then again, maybe-just -maybe people are not exactly fungible.  Maybe they think, and do so independently and maybe they make decisions based on multiple considerations.

Maybe people have been paying attention, and have noticed that CNN and MSNBC have been lying to us, and have been doing it for years, and as a result they are patronizing other channels.

I dunno, I like to think that we are not all morons who simply follow along, but then again I do not understand those who do just that and think just that way (liberals)

So what happened? Did Fox viewership increase, did CNN and others decrease? Where did they go?

From what I have read there has been a migration of centrists and liberals away from CNN and MSNBC and over to Fox.  Are those viewers now "idiots" because they no longer subscribe to the single point of view presented by those outlets?

Fox has a single point of view as well by the way, so then why might it be true that people are gravitating to it?  Just because people are watching does not make the message more true or accurate.

Rather than bash Fox, or those watching it, I might suggest it could be of value to understand WHY it is happening.  The liberal inclination to simple say "because they are stupid" or "because they are a basket of deplorable" is not going to win them back.

It might be the wiser move to instead look in the mirror, because leftists are losing the minds of the people, they are starting to think more freely again.

I don't know what you've read, so I have no clue to make of this migration.

The liberal inclination you say is to call people stupid, after you just said "they think, and do so independently and maybe they make decisions based on multiple considerations"---meaning others don't think or make thought out decisions. And the people who watch the other stations don't know they are being lied too, the implication being they are too simple-minded to figure out the truth(BTW, you might want to question if you are the one being lied too).  Glass houses my friend.

Look in the mirror for what, before I do that, you should look at all the nightly news as whole,  that divide the viewership.   Most people get there news in one hour chunks on ABC/NBC/CBS(which by the way total more viewers COMBINED than Fox). That doesn't include BloombergTV, CNBC, BBC World News, where your independent thinkers might also be getting there news.

I made my original statement and stand by it.  Bragging about beating 2 networks while not including the myriad of other options and beating your chest is silly.

More Democrats watch Fox News during prime time than CNN: data

So then, following your logic, there are people who watch one or the other by rule, without variation or consideration.....I agree....

That is not what is before us though. What is before us is a change, that change finds people in the middle migrating.  And the question is why.

You are known on this forum to have more liberal-tilted opinions, which is fine.

I have more conservative views, and if I saw people leaving conservative media to migrate more toward liberal media, I would wonder why.  What is afoot.

Your original post was "Wow, it's incredible that Fox has done this for 25 weeks in a row.  What are the odds that one news network that caters to a specific group of people would draw more audience than all the other networks who are dividing the rest(majority) of the people.  That is insane!  :

1) you are mocking the posting, the information, as if it is worthless or stupid to talk about.

2) You suggest that Fox has a core group of people that are sycophants and never watch anything else, but do not seem to allow that is perhaps true of CNN/MSNBC

3) You suggest that the problem is that liberal media outlets have to share viewers......

So again, why is that sharing as you allude to suddenly an issue? What is THAT the cause?  Or could it be that people are tuning in to Fox more...... you seem to not want it to be true so you are creating reasons for it to NOT be true, this is standard liberal tactics of course....

I suggest, to not do this, to instead look at it from a higher level and notice that the lying from these media outlets is coming home to roost. It is time to stop calling people racists etc, and lying to them.  I hope that getting Zucker out of there allows for better behaviors, I long for the return of CNN to being actual journalism, I think we all need this.

1) you are mocking the posting, the information, as if it is worthless or stupid to talk about.  ---yes I am, it's using only a partial amount of the facts in a  myopic way to reach a conclusion. It is laughable and deserved to be mocked.

2) You suggest that Fox has a core group of people that are sycophants and never watch anything else, but do not seem to allow that is perhaps true of CNN/MSNBC--

I didn't say that, my first comment was about the ridiculous nature of only considering these three networks and reaching the conclusions they did.

3) You suggest that the problem is that liberal media outlets have to share viewers......

I didn't say it was a problem. I mocked, then explained there are multiple outlets(and I don't agree that they are either Fox or Liberal), and I didn't say, but agree that viewers  'think, and do so independently and maybe they make decisions based on multiple considerations.'

So again, why is that sharing as you allude to suddenly an issue? What is THAT the cause?  Or could it be that people are tuning in to Fox more...... you seem to not want it to be true so you are creating reasons for it to NOT be true, this is standard liberal tactics of course....

The dividing of viewership is only a problem to the individual networks when they sell sponsorship, it's never been a problem for viewers to have choice. The problem is looking at one small segment of it(like this article does) and then come to conclusions that it's because one network is speaking the truth, not lying(so laughable when you are talking about Foxes nightly lineup).

Also in regards to standard tactics, your standard answer 'that's what liberals do', that's a problem, it's a silly argument that can't be refuted.  All they do is lie, are violent, make excuses, blah blah blah, you have become a fallacy posting machine.

---I am the one looking at it from a higher level, you keep trying to reach conclusions based on the viewership of just 3 of the viewing choices.

I've spent too much time on this and really need to work. So good day, I'll check back later.

I think we agree more than we disagree.  My point boils down to wondering why people are changing their behaviors, I think it would be valuable to know; if I were a politician I would very much desire to understand this change at depth.....

If I had to guess, Liberals don't watch too much news unless they're triggered... meaning, a Republican in the White House.  They all go to their "safe space" (Leftist media), when things aren't going their way.  They got the nutjob in office, so even though their lives are getting worse, they don't care... they're just sheep and blame it on Republican's who aren't in office.

Perhaps.  But there is a recency to this.

Maybe they are waking up to what has been done, to them and the nation, and the leftists like AOC and Abrams and others who are clearly stupid to an alarming level and the crime and the border....I think most people have common sense and see that there are deep problems with Liberalism today, Maher is calling it out, as are others....I think good people are moving away from the despicable nature of the new liberalism
