You said the majority of the country are racists.

I mean, like....I believe a lot of people are racist because of ignorance and separation. I think familiarity helps most people reduce their racist thoughts.
I think before the 80's, the "majority" would automatically be scared to death, on site, of people who looked like Mike Tyson or 50 cent or Snoop Dogg or Tupac or Shaq...but now, because people know them through the media, I think the "majority" have space to give unfamiliar faces a chance. They aren't just closing the doors on black faces like they used to.
Some folks are still ignorant. They don't want their kids associating with black children at all, they won't allow black tv shows in the home. I don't think those people are the majority, but they certainly exist still.

Everyone is racist or bigoted to some degree. Even the people who come here and call everyone racist and bigoted.
There will always be some group of people you have an unfair negative feeling toward.

I think conservative AA’s are some of the nicest people on the planet. I have a theory that most AA men would vote Republican if it wasn’t for whatever leftist radical white hating woman they are trying to stick their weiner in.

Of course.  I am bigoted towards religious fundamentalists and people with face tattoos.    I also am aware of that and acknowledge that.   People here seem to have trouble understanding, or don't have the honesty to admit, that they are bigoted towards a group - take AAs for example since I posted that above.   I'm not sure how else to take positions like black men don't want to succeed or many references to "them" be it culturally or otherwise.

i was responding to peenie and should have quoted her.

but to your point, I would bet there is at least one group of people you have negative feelings toward that you won't admit. You'll claim there is not but I would very much bet there is. Picking the easiest ones in an effort to show you are not like everyone else in the sense that you can admit to your "faults" is just that... easy.

Some posters on the right don't like black people.

Some posters on the left don't think black people are capable of accomplishing anything on their own.

So yeah, it is somewhat racist.

Yup, 100% correct.

We all have an unconscious bias. If you're aware of it, you can control it in some way. If you're not, then you're like the majority of the people on the planet.

agreed. if you're aware of it, it's no longer unconscious, but I get your point and agree. I think I would take it a step further and say that even if you are aware of biases you have, willing to admit them, etc... chances are you still have an unconscious bias OR the ones you are self aware of are stronger than you're willing to admit.

Of course.

We have to a take course yearly at my work about unconscious bias, my company's way of trying to show that they exist and you can do something about it, to become aware. .

I "hate" lazy AA people who pretend their situations are due to systemic racism rather than their own lack of effort. If you want to be lazy and not work to better your situation, that's cool (and goes for anyone of any race) just don't make excuses. When I drive through certain sections of NJ and I see couches on the lawn, graffiti on all the buildings, shoes hanging over telephone wires, trash in the streets, etc. etc. I always ask myself why? When someone says "they can't get out the hood" because of hiring inequality, income inequality etc., I always ask what that has to do with trash all over the community? You don't need a certain amount of money or a certain job or job title to improve your surroundings. What does "systemic racism" have to do with your ability to throw your trash away properly? Or keep your couch inside where it belongs? Why can't a group of upstanding community members get together and clean up the neighborhood? Get the graffiti off the walls, clean up the trash?

Yet I have many AA friends. I have dated AA women. I get along very well with most of my AA coworkers to the extent that I get along with any of my co workers

I don't deny that some systemic racism exists or that there are still strides to be made in terms of equality... I'm just not dumb enough to believe that any of that would matter for the majority of AA people complaining that their situations are due entirely to racism. Just looking for someone to blame rather than hold yourself accountable, imo.

I don't consider any of this to make me racist. I "hate" anyone who blames their own laziness or circumstances on others. I've just never personally heard anyone of any other race saying they would be in a vastly better situation if only it wasn't for racism in this country :dunno:

I've heard plenty of lazy white people talk about how they can't get ahead, not because of their race, but because other races getting hand outs or stealing their jobs, or because of rich people screwing them over and stuff like that.  I don't hear many hispanics or Asians complain about not being able to get ahead.  They probably have the greatest work ethic of all Americans and are just happy to be here instead of their shite hole country 🤣

I was about to edit and say that I have heard some white trash, lazy people act as if minorities stealing jobs or companies feeling pressured to hire is the reason they are unemployed, uneducated and get high all day. ... no. It's because you prefer to not work and get high all day

I think your take is reasonable and not racist at all.  I'm sure we all dislike lazy people of all colors and stripes who get by with little effort.

The racist here do nothing but post vids of one race doing bad things.   Like they're the only race who does that.  Who refer to a race as the 13%.  Who constantly deflect from shootings out of nowhere to shootings in Chicago, etc that are 90% drug related.  Who constantly say that certain races only vote certain ways because of handouts or they're fooled or controlled by other races.  Who think Jews rule and manipulate the world for some nefarious end.  Who think whites are being replaced and discriminated against and think it's purposeful to bring down the US.

The folks above are who I consider racist.

meh.

I do think certain races are fooled and manipulated in a political manner. It's only natural when a politician makes racial equality or something similar a large part of their campaign in order to garner votes... or when an overall party decides to go in that direction. Manipulating specific demographics is at the heart of politics, on all sides.

I wouldn't say whites are being replaced but I would go as far as to say that the increasing push for equal representation in all facets, be it in the workplace or on television or whatever and the pressure that is felt by companies to show how inclusive they are has started started to result in underqualified candidates being hired just because diversity. companies going overboard with minority/diversity casting in commercials, shows, movies, etc.

there will be a point, which we've probably already passed, where straight, white male candidates will be turned down for jobs and roles that they are the most qualified for because of the overall push for diversity.

This is not the same as the lazy white guy claiming he can't get a job because they are all being given to minorities... well qualified individuals will find jobs.  But it doesn't mean that better candidates are not being passed over for the sake of inclusion.

I would never be dumb enough to claim it's to bring down the US. It's simply to keep up with appearances

Remember this gem?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2018/11/30/white-liberals-dumb-themselves-down-when-they-speak-black-people-new-study-contends/

“A new study suggests that the words you use may depend on whether the club secretary’s name is Emily (“a stereotypically White name,” as the study says) or Lakisha (“a stereotypically Black name”). If you’re a white liberal writing to Emily, you might use words like “melancholy” or “euphoric” to describe the mood of the book, whereas you might trade these terms out for the simpler “sad” or “happy” if you’re corresponding with Lakisha.”

“But if you’re a white conservative, your diction won’t depend on the presumed race of your interlocutor.”

“I don’t feel no ways tired”.  I’ve said it before, If some politician started talking to me at an emerald society meeting in an Irish brogue and telling me he walks around with cabbage and the opponent was going to starve us to death again I would throw something at them. I don’t know why black people accept this cheap pandering.

Probably because you’re unaware of the historical context of that statement?

Hillary wasn’t imitating a black person, she was quoting one, the exact words of a legendary elderly woman who was determined to maintain the Montgomery Bus Boycott in 1955 however long it took to change policy. Hillary was celebrating that triumph and those words, and the crowd she spoke to understood that and appreciated it.

She had to put on a black accent to do it? Why do you overlook that part when I emphasized it?  And yeah, I’m sure you were all up on the history of it before you googled it.

That's way way more than the couple of clowns in antifa that conservatives act like is the second coming of hitler youth.

And if they know about 5k, there's way more than that.  Racist are like ants or mice, you see one, you know there's tons more hiding in the gunk you don't see.

I already posted for you examples of hundreds and thousands of Antifa terrorists going to riots in LA and Philly.  And since they are loosely organized, you know there are a lot more of that filth around.

Perhaps educate us on the riots led recently by the KKK, pseud?

You think there were thousands of antifa rioters?  How did they all get organized?  Who let everyone know it was time to riot?

Antifa doesn't really exist.  It's a boogeyman created by conservatives to scare other conservatives.  It's really nothing but a bunch of woke, college kids who get outraged.

Nothing more.

The KKK on the other hand is very organized and have guiding principles they wish to see come to fruition.  For example, they would not fly with a black pilot like many geek conservatives.
