I am too to some degree, but some of the same old problems still exist - same old stupid ass Jerry philosphies not going away:

* Believing Zeke is a game changer, a difference maker - thinking the RB position still matters.

* Refusing to see Pollard as the most dangerous, most explosive back on the team.

* No regard and sense of urgency for DT and S.

* Amari gone, Gallup out first 3 weeks - lots of unknowns.

* (still) worst C in the league, rookie LG.

* Rookie K.

* McCartyh and K. Moore still in charge of the offense.

Every year I say I can't possibly get any more frustrated with this front office than I am now...............then I do.

This OL is a total shiit show. To have gone into this season counting on Tyron is utterly irresponsible, if not moronic. Then you add the swing and misses of Connor Williams (2nd rounder), Conner McGovern (3rd rd) and Tylers Biadasz (4th rd) - and you have a unit taking on water faster than the Titanic.

I hope our defense is nasty, bcoz this offense is going to be crap.... least early on.

This guy knows his football team................ Now Dak is gone, but really - so what? He's been gone since the calf injury last year. He has been shiit ever since.

I think this may be the largest gap we've seen between conferences in some time.  The Chiefs and Bills are solid, and Chargers are really close to being as good as them if they aren't there now.  Dolphins looked good, and I have reason to believe the other two teams in the East will compete this year.  The AFC North looks like it'll be a dogfight all year long, and the South didn't look that great this week, but no reason to believe all four of those teams don't have a chance to compete after the first week.  Plus we haven't seen the Broncos yet, and they could be really good with Wilson.  Raiders should be better than they likely will be, but who cares.

Then there aren't a lot of teams in the NFC that do much for me.  Tampa looked good but the other teams in their division really didn't.  Minnesota seems legit and I think Green Bay will progressively get better.  And the West looked like ass thus far.

The NFL is usually shite until week 4.  The way they do training camp/pre-season, most teams are not ready.

Was really odd seeing JJ Watt injured on the sidelines. Has there ever been a less reliable player in the history of the NFL?

Injuries happen.  Chiefs will likely be without McDuffie, Trey Smith and Butker.  Next man up.

the chargers are literally built to beat the chiefs.  the key to beating the chiefs is never blitz.  and the chiefs weak run game will be devoured by the chargers.  and the chargers can get pressure with 4 with mack in there now.  i cant wait for thursday.

the chargers defense is dominant.  they will make great QBs look mortal.  they will destroy all other QBs.  I bet there will be games where QBs will lose their job or get benched in the middle of the game because of what the Chargers D will do to them.

It should be a close game.  Chargers could win.  After that they have:

Jax

@ Hou

Cle

Den

Sea

Bye

@ Atl

If they aren't 6-2, or at a minimum 5-3 then something is wrong.  You should be used to this by now though, often regular season champs (at least until Mahomes arrived), then choke in the playoffs.

They better figure something else out.  Chiefs are running similar schemes when Tyreek was here, but doing it with three TEs (Kelce, Gray and Forston) at times.  It was something we haven't seen from the Chiefs before and really opened up the running game yesterday.  That's the deal, you get to the point when you think you have them figured out, then they dial up a new wrinkle on you.  Should be a great one.

What I've been most impressed with by the Chiefs is how they basically turned entire units around in an offseason.

Two years ago the offensive line was the weakest link, they go trade for Orlando Brown, sign Thuney via free agency, and nail the Humphrey and Smith draft picks and the o-line is now a strength.  The Bengals had the same issue last year and tried to upgrade in the offseason and if you watched the game yesterday you couldn't tell.

This year it's basically the receiving unit and secondary after Hill and Mathieu leave.  Yet looking at the Smith-Schuster and MVS additions along with rookie Skyy Moore, and what the Chiefs did with acquiring Justin Reid and the rookie corners they selected and these units played at an extremely high level last year.

Having Mahomes will get you so far, but it only gets you so far.  Team strength is extremely important, and IMO the Chiefs are doing as well as anyone fielding a top notch roster across positions.

Wow.

not surprised.  Russ's agent in early 2021 released to the media a list of teams he would accept a trade to, which was Russ effectively using the media to demand a trade without officially demanding a trade.  A lot of fans think he wanted out.

Didn't the Seahawks inquire about trading him a couple times? Specifically in 2017 when they called the browns to guage interest?

Thankfully they don’t think TJ Watt completely tore his pectoral muscle. Expecting him back by Oct. At least that’s what I read.

Yesterdays one o’clock slate was horrible.  The fours kinda sucked too. And SNF was a snooze fest. And now this thing tonight.  The Giants game was exciting, but outside of Giants fans nobody gives a Fock. I know some premium teams were off, but still. I’m starting to agree with Ed. The product is garbage.  Also the refs almost cost the Giants with another bullshit roughing call.

The entire NFL is down this year.  After last weekend I think there have been 100 fewer TDs score compared to last year at this time.  I don't know if it's injuries or if defenses are getting better.

It seems no one can pass block anymore. I think part of that may be running backs go right out into the pattern and so do TE’s. Blitzing seems way up.

the truth is that, up to this point, this is the Cowboys year.  but the Eagles being undefeated and Dak getting injured is clouding the issue and people are not seeing it.  not yet anyway.  give it a couple of weeks.  i think the Cowboys narrative will pick up soon.

What does that have to do with scoring being down a lot compared to last year?

it doesnt but i was referring to when you said that he NFL is "down this year".  Well, if the Cowboys keep doing this, they will run away with the super bowl and a Cowboys super bowl will make this an up year pretty quick.

whats really possible here is both the cowboys and eagles win 14+ games.  and they meet on Christmas Eve.

Oh.  When I said down I meant the quality of play and scoring was down.  I don't know how viewership is doing.  If the Cowboys go deep into the playoffs then I think you're right with that opinion.

Dallas is a really good football team, the defense obviously the strength of the team. Picking up Hankins today was a big boost for a team that struggles stopping the run.

That being said, this team's offense is anemic - flat out shiit at times. Trading Amari has turned out to be moronic and Dak is still barely average it seems. Forget SB, this team isn't beating KC, BUF or PHI for that matter until something changes. Which is a shame, bcoz this defense will keep us in damn near any game on the board.

Was never going to happen, but damn Jimmy G would look good behind center on this team right now.

You're out of your mind if you think Jimmy G is better than Dak.  Dak has struggled but he's only played two games.  He can get it going at some point still.

2 games???

Good grief, what Cowboys games do you watch? Dak hasn't been the same since the calf injury last year. His thumb did nothing but bail his ass out and give him an excuse for looking anything like real passing qb threat. I'd take Jimmy G over him all day long right now.
