I expected it to be a boost for him mostly because the offense was not working with Baker and when a team is THAT bad,  being the only threat on offense isn’t usually good for fantasy. 
 

I did slightly worry that San Frans defense wouldn’t give up enough to keep the game scripts fantasy positive for him.

I felt there was more risk with his players, but wanted to take the chance.

I love cmc, but also believed that  his usage might drop in sf. Deebo and Mitchell out changed that.

Yup, it's fun to watch. SF on a 9 game winning streak and this kid is absolutely the catalyst. 3rd in the league in yards from scrimmage and making every big play.

MVP talk should really start picking up this week. Obviously tough for a non-QB to win it but, anybody who doesn't think he should be in the conversation is an absolute idiot and doesn't know ball. It's about stats and winning and he's got that covered.

I am not saying CMAC is an MVP but hes been huge carrying that team thats on the 3rd QB lost Deebo and Mitchell

He’s great. There’s no legitimate case for him as MVP is my point. He’s not a QB or leading the league in yardage and a better case can be made for other non QBs.

I don't see a sense in arguing if he deserves consideration.   QBs win it.  Sure he deserves some consideration.

The 3-3 thing is a bit much.  Were they rolling? No.  But they went to the NFCG just last year.  They were a firm playoff team anyway.    A 3-3 start doesnt define a season.  Why were the Packer 4-8 and now looking decent to make playoffs? Who did they add? The season ebs and flows. 

McCaffrey is a hell of a football player and much more dynamic.....but that offense has ran the ball at will since Shanny has been there....with anyone in.  

I don't agree that Saquon or Jefferson are more deserving.  No less either.  Although Jaire shut Jefferson completely down today.  Was a non factor.

If I were to think of MVP candidates, CMC wouldn't even come to mind.... and I'm a fan and thought it was a great move by SF. He just hasn't felt like he carried SF since joining the way (amongst non QBs) a Justin Jefferson felt like he carried Minnesota, prior to today's rare dud.

Jefferson is a great WR.  I guess he might of carried them.   But their season has largely been luck.  

Cmac doesn't come to mind because all that comes to mind most any year is QBs.  But outside of QBs I think he is just as deserving as any of them.  Not more or less.  So when talking about "consideration" it depends on what your idea of "consideration" is.  

He plays RBs so not a hard transition.   But he basically has same sort of stats as the other top RBs and hr had to switch teams and systems in the middle.  

Either way this is a goofy debate since no one here is saying he should be the MVP.

i just saw some MVP chatter and decided to chime in. 

if you ignore the QB's, where i'd easily give it to Hurts or Mahomes, and you only think of other players, I would think of Josh Jacobs, Justin Jefferson, Austin Ekeler (his dependability and scoring has held them in the thick of things with Herbert taking a bit of a step back this year / the WR injuries) and possibly Tyreek Hill before CMC.

CMC basically has the same stats as the others mentioned.  And he switched teams mid season.  And is playing with a 3rd string rookie qb.  And is on the best team of any other players mentioned.

I am not beating the drum for McCaffrey.   But pretty much splitting hairs with the non QBs.   If anything he has more angles to his resume with the things I mentioned above.
