Dude has been on SNL for 20 years. That tells you all you need to know. Talented people get taken from SNL. The show as a whole is unwatchable, but Thompson was at the right place, right time,  right color.

He did a bit with Michael Che on weekend update a while ago. He played Michael Che's doorman.

 

You could tell that even Che grew weary of it fast. Like, it wasn't funny the first time and it's a whole lot less funny the fifth time.

The only thing I ever enjoyed that involved Kenan Thompson was the recurring "What up with that" skit on SNL, but I enjoyed it mostly for Jason Sudeikis' mad dance skills.
