Ohio toxic train derailment

Recommended Posts

Biden has bigger issues. Although he can't continue to campaign on environmental issues if he ignores this one.

Pete is just garbage at his job and killed any major political aspirations he once had.

It's the silence that is deafening

He speaks.  In this case, he probably should have just kept quiet.  How fuking tone deaf.  Please, someone add some context so he doesn’t look so foolish.

He's not wrong that there are that many.  What I'd like to see is how many involve hazardous materials being spilled.

Or even controlled burns. What % of train derailments does the EPA typically respond to?

Can't think of ever hearing about a controlled burn with a derailment.

It smells, fish dead in the river, headaches, sore throats, coughing, but hey the same government that said you needed to wear a mask and get 15 shots for covid says it's ok to return home and drink the water!  Our tests say it's ok, trust the science!

They said not to drink the water

New water testing results have been returned to the Ohio EPA. These results show no detection of contaminants in raw water from the five wells that feed into East Palestine’s municipal water system.

Test results from the combined, treated water from all five wells also showed no detection of contaminants associated with the derailment.

With these tests results, Ohio EPA is confident that the municipal water is safe to drink.

I'm sure Tim the retard will be in here to admit he was wrong any minute now.

Sorry I was wrong.  Read something but looks like it was referring to private wells only.  Do I get a turn with your wife for admitting I was wrong?

Colorful water. I think that means it's loaded with nutrition.

It will coat your stomach and prevent acid reflux.

It will make your shite turn purple and smell like rainbow sherbert.

Pretty incredible to see all these Republican politicians suddenly giving a shite about the environment. It won’t last though. As soon as lawmakers introduce some regulations that might help protect people, they’ll block them.

As for ‘Mayor Pete,’ did these companies break any laws? If not, then it’s the laws that need to be changed, not the transportation Secretary.

Republicans conserve far more than liberals ever do.

Did the company break laws? If so that is Pete's jurisdiction. It's two weeks after the fact and they haven't even released the list of everything that was on that train. The fact we still don't have a cargo list has everyone looking at Pete.

There is also video of the train on fire for at least 20 miles before it derailed. There are safety indicators that should have alerted. Did those work or no?

Bottom line is people are looking at Pete because the railroad company isn't providing answers. He is the accountability department here.

It is pretty funny to see people only care about this in order to blame their most hated gay dude.  Talk about virtue signaling.

So Biden can undo everything trump did with the stroke of a pen in his first few days/ weeks in office but he didn’t get to this one.  Lol

Just want to be clear...this is the democrats fault for not cleaning up after the Trump/GOP failures and short-sightedness  quick enough.

Speaking of Tucker, here he is doing that thing where he laughs at bad news (“this is very bad news” is literally the title of the video).  What a POS. At least he calls out the Repub Governor too, but I guess he’s just a RINO anyway

I live 15 miles from the derailment.  People getting their news from facebook and tiktok.  Now saying dont drink the water...even for your pets.  We have a refinery west on the river..Ergon, east up the river is a waste treatment incinerator.  This place has been toxic for years.

People saying send water samples to be tested but use an out of town address.

Bought about 150 bottles of water from the store to keep wife happy lol.

Reading about this without the political spin, my summation is that it's very bad and the blame should lie with the the train company for cutting costs and not addressing safety and maintenance, and also the state and federal authorities that have neglected the rail lines for way too long.

I mean I’d probably drink bottled water too, but as far as the drinking water, isn’t it coming from treatment plants?  I don’t necessarily get the argument of people scooping out water from a creek and saying that’s what would be in the drinking water.

Its appalachia hysteria and facebook fear mongering.  I havent smelled a thing..i do have a picture of the cloud when they did the burn off though...it was pretty big.  Not like the fake memes being posted taken from airplanes etc.

Exactly - this isn't a right/left thing, this is a profits over people thing that is all too common in our country.     It's been shown that they were cutting costs, had big profits, and are in the pockets of the government so there is a lack of oversight and accountability.

Yes it is. The left is stupid and is responsible for the recent downfall of America.
