Donald Trump claims he will be arrested Tuesday in Manhattan probe, calls for protests

The DA has really stretched out on this one. Proving those payments were part of a felonious crime seems pretty sketchy to me. The real problem I have is this weak sauce will only empower Trump and his supporters in their witch hunt mantra. I wish this DA had kept this case in check or left it alone until further or better testimony and evidence proved out.

The bottom line is Trump's actions after the election have always been the most egregious crimes he committed. His interference and attempted influence in Georgia alone should result in him going to jail, his actions prior to, and on Jan. 6 should result in his swinging from a gallows in front of The Capitol for treason.

Take a run at him for all of it. We got time.

An unprecedented prosecution.  What took so long? I mean, it must really stick out and be quite nefarious to do something that has never been done before. . Why the wait?

There are so many reasons why this is a ridiculous indictment.  It's not even close.  There are two groups of Liberals who believe this prosecution is justified:

  1. The Ignorant Ones - These people live in their Liberal bubble and trust everything they are told.  They don't even take the time to research the issues.  They fancy themselves as so educated, moral, and well-read that they don't need to get into any of the weeds.  That's beneath them.  They may even be a little lazy.
  2. The Argumentative Ones - These people actually take time to research the issues, so kudos for that.  Unfortunately their fact-gathering skills are only used to effectively argue their side's point of view.  These people fascinate me.  Why do they waste so much time if they are not striving towards some higher-level truth? I think it's as simple as this - they love to argue.

I don't have to tell you who falls into which category.  It's painfully obvious.  The important thing for Conservatives to understand is that these people will NEVER change their views.  Their cake has been fully baked.  It's ok to argue with them in places like this, but for God's sake don't engage with them in real life.  Focus on pets, food, the weather, sports - anything that increases the chances for a common bond.

What’s wrong with calling witch hunts witch hunts? It’s been nothing but that for years.

I stopped playing  nice a while ago. I won’t bring it up,  but if someone wants to go there let’s go. I just had to explain to my niece a few weeks ago that cops don’t want to arrest homeless people, that’s it’s the least desirable way to handle them. She believed otherwise until I laid it out.

You really got him this time!

@realDonaldTrump·1h

Alvin Bragg shut down New York City, brought in 38,000 NYPD officers, and will spend an estimated $200,000,000 of NYC funds, for a totally legal $130,000 NDA. On top of all that, the 9th Circuit Court just awarded me $122,000 — over the $500,000 already awarded, from Stormy “Horseface” Daniels!

@realDonaldTrump·1h

Just lifted off for Palm Beach, Florida. Will be delivering remarks tonight at Mar-a-Lago at 8:15 P.M., EASTERN. The hearing was shocking to many in that they had no “surprises,” and therefore, no case. Virtually every legal pundit has said that there is no case here. There was nothing done illegally!

🤣🤣🤣

Now that the orange Pizza the Hut made his court appearance this thread will slowly drop down the page. Will be buried in a couple weeks.

We’ll get to do it all over again when GA case drops and then perhaps again with the Jan 6th / election fraud stuff.

Everyone can cut and paste from their favorite news people, Twitter follows, talking heads, etc.

So, are you related to Stormy Daniels?

Also, What does Trump calling her that say about him?  Apparently she was attractive enough for him to bang instead of his wife.  I wonder what he thinks of Melania.

Things I predict will happen:

1.) I'm confident the DA made sure this case has a higher-than-usual chance of conviction, considering the defendant.

2.) Trump is going to play his usual victim, witch-hunt card and call for his supporters to take action, and they'll do so in the form of violence perhaps even murder.

3.) This is just beginning. He's going to get indicted on more charges.

4.) He is going to be jailed on this one. He is going to be finger printed. He's going to have his mugshot taken. He might or might not be cuffed. But he's going to spend a few minutes behind bars for sure. He should get used to this.

5.) He will get convicted and do time on something

6.) I'll probably wind up paying Horseass the $100 for the bet that Trump will spend 24 hours in jail, because I don't think this all will happen fast enough to see this happen.

 0'fer the first four so far.

I think what you and other Liberals fail to realize is that this will now be done to you as well.  Another line has been crossed - a big one actually - and things will never be the same.  If you had left well enough alone Trump would have gotten beaten by Desantis and faded into the sunset.

Yup, we're stuck with Trump for the duration now. This entire thing is so incredibly weak, it will end up empowering him.

Good going libtards, you really needed something new today, this ain't it.

Go ahead. Some old man gets taken in front of a judge for paying off his skanks, lying about how he did it, writes it off as a tax scam, worked with the fuucking National Enquirer to kill stories (chef’s kiss that Trump is a National Enquirer man 😂), etc.

Oh no! Please let’s make this a thing.

If hear again how this gives people an excuse voting for this guy…please. Those people want to vote for this ballbag. There will be all kinds of candidates to choose from, if republicans are too dumb to vote for this guy over other folks that’s a them issue.

We are this much closer to Idiocracy and having Elizondo Mountain Dew Camacho in the White House.

If this tub of goo can do it anyone with an R behind their name can do it. Joe Biden got 81 million.

Can you all perhaps select one a little less treasony? There should be a whole stable of choices. Pick one! Meatball Ron, sure why not. That Arkansas guy with the woman’s name, he’ll do!! The SC lady who seems like she is running for VP, give her the nod.

But no let’s hear again how this is the Democrats fault 😂

I like Pence. :)

The us-vs-them crowd blame democrats, but Trump brought this on himself. Guilty or not, I wouldn't vote for that bozo again. I'm embarrassed I did... twice.

Would you have rather voted for Biden? That would be even more embarrassing...

No rational well meaning person should ever admit that. Biden is an absolute disaster and we're better off that he's in bed by 6:30 and spends extended weekends in Delaware.

They're scared to death to let him answer questions off script. They have to guide him around, it'd be easier if he was in a focking wheelchair...

Not to mention promising Putin he would pull us out of NATO in exchange for Russia not release the video of Russian skanks whizzing on him.

Yeah, you're gonna have to provide a link to that one.   But if you're listening to the "legal dudes" podcast I can see why you'd think that.  Was it before or after their toke break?

Quote

Trump’s time in White House could end up benefiting New York prosecutors

Prosecutors in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office have discussed using a section of New York criminal procedure law that they successfully applied in their sexual assault case against disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein to charge him with earlier conduct, people familiar with the matter said.

The section allows for the extension of the statute of limitations when a defendant has been out of state “continuously.”

Since Trump was sworn into office in January 2017, he has spent few days in New York, which means prosecutors could effectively add that time to the clock and investigate earlier conduct.

That's the gist of it.

Yep this is what the NPR dude said that I heard essentially. Any comments Councilor Strike?

Some of the reoccurring talking points from the Fox News entertainers:

The case is a farce and only a thing because they must get Trump. At the same time it’s masterminded by Biden to assure Trump is the candidate because he is the most beatable.

Diabolical!!!

When this f'n thing collapses in on the Democrats it's only going to make him stronger.  This case is weak at best and this represents the best the left has got after promising to "GET HIM' every week for 8 years straight.  They literally had to make shiat up and change laws to go after him.

The ensuing chaos on the left is going to be epic!
