Florida is one of the worst states to live, be safe, and find economic opportunity

Why don't you stick your nose up his ass a little farther while you live your life following him around like you do and see what more you can find out. Then be sure to continue to report it online for some peopke to observe your obsession.

Are you saying these numbers and figures are wrong, Seachode? Interesting strategy here by ol’ Don.

When you finish your quilting project for the day take a look!

I'm 6th generation Floridian with great-greats coming in 1870's. As a kid, Orlando was a small clean city like most of Florida, north of Miami. Then Disney came mid 70's and the area slowly became an ugly metropolis with typical big city problems - crowded and crime ridden.

I'm for some diversification, but it's sad to see a once small quaint city like Kissimmee, which used to be full of good ole rednecks, is completely gone. Today there's hardly a white person left... all Spanish now and the neighborhoods are dangerous.

This ain't the Central Florida I grew up in. And I don't like it.

Spaniards?

The shiit that matters? Doesn't to him.

This seems to be one of the angles Donald will use. Kind of hard to shet all over Florida though when you are trying to get the Republican nom.

And, Trump is master culture war BS’er.

Watching these two eviscerate each other will be glorious. Not sure if Ron has it in him though.

Those numbers aren’t very good! Maybe Donald is on to something.

 you may have misunderstood ?

The point I was making, is that if people don't like Ron DeSantis, they can choose to stay away from his state.

I use something similar when I'm talking to people who want to ban guns. I tell them they have every right not to own one.

Dwyane Wade explains why he no longer lives in Florida. He doesn’t feel it is safe for his daughter.

https://news.yahoo.com/dwyane-wade-says-family-left-150927802.html

Quote

“That’s another reason why I don’t live in that state,” he said. “I think a lot of people don’t know that. I have to make decisions for my family, not just personal, individual decisions. I mean, obviously, the taxes are great. Having Wade County is great. But my family would not be accepted or feel comfortable there. And so that’s one of the reasons why I don’t live there.”

As for what he would like to say to legislators who are pushing the anti-trans and anti-LGBT+ policies, Wade said he would “love to have a conversation with them”.

He continued: “And so, do I hate it? I hate it. I hate that we’re taking so many steps backwards … from everything I learned as a kid to now it seems like we’d made so [many] strides and now you look back and you’re like, ‘What happened to the strides we were making?’ I feel like we’re right back into the 60s or 70s, and it’s unfortunate.”

Of course people can do what they like, it’s a free country.

The issue at hand is if Florida is a bottom tier state - the leader of the GOP seems to be making this case.

What do you think?

The 192 corridor is quite interesting, especially the further east you drive from I-4.  I was sitting in the McDs drive thru one night as the cops delivered a search warrant in an adjacent motel.  I would imagine the property crime there is outrageous.

That’s funny seeing as a vast majority of trans violence is from other trans or other lgbt or sex work.  Threats to her safety in Florida, I’m sure, were almost zero. She has a better chance of falling victim to another black person than to an anti-trans redneck. Hope she stays safe iwhen they move to a more welcoming  to area.

The article from the OP is pretty silly.

Most of the complaints, such as the high COL, are not driven by politics.   It has a high COL because it’s a desirable place to live, which is mostly driven by the weather and geography, although they did get a boost in population during the pandemic thanks in part to their lack of restrictions, and no state income tax is nice.

Pretty sure their gasoline prices are around the national average.

High health care (and maybe even car insurance) costs are probably because there are so many damn old people there, thanks to the weather and no state income tax, so calling it “high tax” is pretty retarded.

And of course, Trump focking lives there…I mean that should definitely be in Desantis’s ads if it isn’t already

The original posted article is really just covering one of Trump’s latest rants.

Here is a better summary of his talking points: LINK

I’ll let his campaign flesh out his arguments about expensive health care, inflation, and taxes in Florida.

Some of the other lowlights of Florida per Donald:

To Raise a Family: In 2023, WalletHub marked Florida as one of the worst states in the nation to raise a family—ranking 32nd. Within that survey, Florida ranked 50th in Affordability, 30th in Education and Child Care, and 39th in Health and Safety. In 2022, Florida ranked 39th, among the worst states in the nation to raise a family.

On Education, Florida ranked #39 in Health and Safety, #50 in Affordability, and #30 in Education and Childcare.

To Be Safe: In WalletHub’s October 2022 rankings of safest states to live, Florida came in at the bottom, ranking 44th out of 50. According to the study, Florida ranked 44th in workplace safety, 46th in roadway safety, and 25th in financial safety, and 34th in personal safety.

Only people that don’t like Florida right now are hardcore leftists. I’ve seen tons of gay conservatives telling people they aren’t being discriminated against and their lives are just fine. It’s only the people wanting special privileges or want to have sex with children that are getting upset

Exactly.  Just another myth created by the left.  Where would they be without them?

Trump didn’t talk about dystopian wasteland that is Florida in his town hall. Maybe at his next rally or in the debates.

He really should have brough it up for sure. I mean, all those people migrating their and living a better life should know that the place is not as nice.  Maybe the governor of California would not have to try to lure them back and what not.

He definitely makes it sound awful, and he lives there, so I’m sure it will come up again at some point.

That is good.....as with the other locations people are fleeing toward, we actually want to limit the potential exposure to liberals escaping their hell holes....if they go there and vote the same way they would ruin a good thing.
