RLLD 4,143 Posted July 27, 2023 The DOJ does still have a move here. They could try to just dismiss the charges. That might be a way to protect Hunter. I think it could be true that the judge might refuse to allow that, and I think she can do so. So if the DOJ does try a hail mary here, and dimiss....they might really embarrass themselves. I think it would be pretty funny. I hope they try it....

Bill E. 703 Posted July 30, 2023 They will find another way to protect the Bidens. I have no faith in the system to go after these people. At best he will plead guilty to felony tax or gun charges and get 30 days in a country club. Worst case they slightly modify the last agreement. Either way he will get some kind of immunity and then it will be over.

In fact the Democrats By all reports are enjoying this. They know that if the Republicans go through with this it will only strengthen Biden. They may enjoy it but I don’t. I hate that so much time is being spent on this when this country has real problems. It was one thing to impeach Trump; he committed crimes and deserved it. Biden does not. RLLD 4,143 Posted July 31, 2023 I do wish all the impeachment inferences would just stop. The abuse of power is a Democrat behavior. Revisiting it back out of some sort of revenge is not the play here. When good people sacrafice their values to harm their opponents, as was done by Democrats, then we have no good people. It is clear, and is even demonstrated here, no amount of information or evidence will every sway people who are so morally bankrupt.

dogcows 1,030 Posted July 31, 2023 I bet you won't let reality get in the way of your insane conspiracy theories. Quote Matthew Schwartz, Archer’s attorney, also rejected the notion that there’s any connection between Archer’s tiff with the Justice Department and his potentially imminent jail time. “We are aware of speculation that the Department of Justice’s weekend request to have Mr. Archer report to prison is an attempt by the Biden administration to intimidate him in advance of his meeting with the House Oversight Committee,” Schwartz said in a statement. “To be clear, Mr. Archer does not agree with that speculation. In any case, Mr. Archer will do what he has planned to do all along, which is to show up on Monday and to honestly answer the questions that are put to him by the Congressional investigators.”
