Engorgeous George 2,125 Posted July 14, 2023 My employer had the right to test me for drug use with or without cause. Marijuana was legalized in my state in 2012. Though it was legal for consumption and possession my employer still had the right to dismiss me if I were under the influence at work. Additionally, as an attorney though it were legal in my state it remains a federal crime and as an attorney I could be disbarred for using it asIi would be violating my oath as an attorney, though the more likely result would have been suspension for a short time and treatment. I did not use while employed. Now that I am retired i could use but thus far have chosen to not do so. Having had access to the evidence locker and to evidence I was occassionally tested without cause. also, occassionally drug sniffing dogs were run through the office suite where I worked. I remember a kerfuffle when an audit of the evidence room turned up a substantial amount of missing drugs and property. Though the evidence locker had security the culprit was never found but it did lead to stricter protocols.

nobody 2,558 Posted July 14, 2023 I guess I figure if they find the person or it's someone unaffiliated with the white house staff, and you tell the press, you'll have to also report it to the police. Maybe that's the right thing to do, but clearly this administration doesn't mind protecting drug addicts.

KSB2424 3,148 Posted July 15, 2023 The cover up is always worse than the crime. Y’all funny. Jeffrey Epstein and his associate (secretary) were arrested and put in prison for running an underage sex ring for years and no person who participated besides them has ever been prosecuted. The authorities simply couldn’t figure it out. The Coronavirus Institute of Virology based in Wuhan, China. Suddenly a global pandemic breaks out killing millions and shutting down economies happens, and the first cases are from Wuhan, China. However the “authorities” cannot quite figure out the origin so it doesn’t happen again. The Whitehouse, which has cameras and secret service everywhere was evacuated due to a foreign substance that turned out to be cocaine. Where it was found, the easy part, story changed three times. And now the “authorities” simply cannot figure it out. You have to be a special kind of stupid not to at least question this nonsense.

What I'm saying is if it's a staffer and the press gets a hold of that name, the person's life is ruined. You can just fire that person quietly and let them go find some other job. That person is going to become a lightening rod because the red team is going to go apeshìt trying to make this person a proxy for Biden.

It happens when tribes hate the opposition more than they hate crime. By the time a country sees that its Justice system has been politicized it’s too late. It’s like crossing the event horizon in a black hole - there’s no going back.

This embarrasses the public perception of the Secret Service. Which makes it harder to protect those under it's ward. Here's a crazy idea - If you work for the White House, and you are stupid enough to bring coke into the building, then you actually deserve to have your life ruined. But let me not interrupt you from defending the tribe. It's like watching Tyrone Drakeford trying to cover Michael Irvin, but you do you.
nobody 2,558 Posted July 15, 2023 I don't have a tribe. The red team thinks I'm on the blue team, and the blue team thinks I'm on the red team. And I was probably the first person to say if the culprit was a white house employee, it's a security risk. Oh and losing a clearance, which this would entail essentially does ruin the person's life since it essentially means they essentially need to change fields. Hardcore troubadour 14,924 Posted July 15, 2023 So the police in Suffolk County NY just arrested a serial killer using DNA from a discarded pizza box. Yet we are to believe that no DNA or fingerprints were present on a plastic bag. Go pick up a plastic bag and take a look what you leave on it. What a joke. I know which drugs are a real big problem, and Coke isn’t one of them. It never really was until crack came along. But it’s the willingness to just throw bullshit out there and think it’s ok to do that. If they are so thin skinned about this and willing to lie for a little bit if coke, WTF else are they hiding? They could have sue the person responsible has been directed to go to rehab and left it at that.
