I stopped eating Doritos when they discontinued their original flavor.  Now its all cool ranch this or bbq that.  They gave up on the thing that brought them success.  

As this is a Pepsico effort that means I would have to give up on Diet Mountain Dew.  That, or I could recognize that marketing will target demographics other than my own.

My all time favorite chip was fiery habanero Doritos.  The discontinued them years ago.  I still enjoy the spicy nacho.  I saw mustard Doritos a few weeks back that made me want to light them on fire.

I don't eat them except when grabbing a sammich or sub, and then I'll often pick Sun Chips or Ruffles Sour Cream and Cheddar.  Then again, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be boycotting here.

As a sales/marketing professional, I presume they are trying to associate the brand with blacks.  That's a strategy I guess, but I would question it since it seems that Doritos is a flagship brand that appeals beyond such a small demographic.

The black community already struggles with high levels of diabetes and obesity.  The commercial should be "Stay Away" from Pepsi and Doritos to improve your health.
