From what I remember the genetic evidence is overwhelming that indigenous, native American and native Mexicans descended from Siberians.  

The land bridge existed from 13,000 to 36,000 years ago so the window still fits.  

I have references to the genetic stuff written down somewhere if you're interested.

We have to find the original inhabitants of the Americas - the actual people who were here first - in order to give all of the fake oppression money to them because the history of the world is one group of people taking land and shite from other groups of people.  We need to find us the original peoples!

We could give it to the woolly mammoths and sabertooth tigers and everything else that went extinct with the thawing from the last ice age 12000 years ago. The Siberians and any predecessor stole the land from them. It's hard to keep track of which tribe wiped out each other tribe along the way and stole the land from them because most were illiterate. Along theway, the ones who built the serpent mounds in Ohio were pretty damn smart, knowing some advanced mathematics and astronomy, they were interesting, but then they got their asses kicked but some tribe that didn't know fock all about astronomy and mathematics.  A couple of tribal warfare genocides and land thefts later, the British came in and that's when racism started.

As has been pointed out by myself and others here, North America had no "indigenous" people. Nobody originated here, there were no "native" peoples. This land has been dominated by different people throughout history.
