Kind of. If the Feds want to look at what I’m spending money on I don’t really care TBH. What they do with that is more important.

Like say I bought a shitton of fertilizer and it flags on some watchlist and they see I’m a farmer or whatever and I’m none the wiser. That works for me.

You do have the Republican favorite in the POTUS saying he'll use dictatorial powers when he gets in office.  Republicans are cheering him as the savior of the country.  I don't agree with him wanting to be a dictator nor do I agree with the DOJ  doing this.....but if someone is telling you that he's coming for you....I'd imagine most people would be fine with trying to prevent that.

Only to clean house of all the massive corruption on day 1.   IMHO, draining the swamp is a very temporary fix to the problems which plague Washington DC.   Our current DOJ, FBI, CDC, CIA, NSA, ATF and others operate like Nazis and we have lost control of these agencies.

Your misrepresentation does not sway me, I know this lie, and how it was formed and why its a favorite.   By all means, project, liberals are consistent on few things, but advertising how "they" think and will act is one such area.

The Republican favorite has been held to account, and in fact the actions have gone past reason, are now in the realm of persecution.

I'd really like to know how this works, because when I purchase a book or bus ticket there generally isn't a line for to put in "Maga" or "Trump".  Where would these phrases be in the transactions of a Cabella's or Dicks Sporting goods?

Thanks for starting a thread on this. I saw an article about it the other day (from a MSM source!) and was wondering when someone here would jump on it.

I share your concern. On the surface, it seems like a gross abuse of power and invasion of privacy. Unfortunately, since it's coming from Gym Jordan, I'm going to wait until more information comes out before I churn up the outrage. He's one of the few people on the short list of being as trustworthy as Trump, meaning I don't believe a single focking thing that comes out of his mouth until independently verified by someone that at least pretends not to be a partisan charlatan.

Also, Americans gave away their privacy at least two decades ago. While I mourn privacy's passing, there will be no putting that genie back in the bottle.

You can profile people's political leanings by analyzing their spending patterns.  It's how Facebook targets ads.  It's a similar concept.  If known maga guy buys on average 3 firearms and x amount of ammo and a bible, you can look for people with that spending profile to classify other likely maga guys.

The question though is why would they do this?  I'm not sure the correlation between maga/Trump and terrorism is all that strong.  I mean even if you want to classify J6 in the most extreme way possible, is it worth allowing our government to surveil folks that have different political leanings as a proportionate response?

Facebook also categorizes you by your political views. I forgot where you go on Facebook to find out how they’ve labeled you but I remember looking a few years ago & I was labeled “mostly conservative”. How they got that info I’m not sure. But I’m guessing it has something to do with an algorithm monitoring your posts
