Arrest warrant issued for Rashee Rice

Recommended Posts

Figured this would get lost if I just bumped the other thread.   I think this suddenly becomes a bigger deal for the NFL now.

In a statement posted to Rice's Instagram on Wednesday, April 3, the wide receiver said he was cooperating with DPD's investigation into the crash.

"I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities," he wrote. "I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted.”

Not surprising. His mother gave him a made up name. Kinda says you’re not going to take parenting very responsibly.

Then getting the F out of there before the cops and ambulances arrive.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was driving 119 mph before causing a six-vehicle crash last month on a Dallas highway, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by the Dallas Morning News on Friday.

Rice's Lamborghini Urus reached 119 mph 4.5 seconds before the collision, according to the affidavit. A Corvette driven by SMU wide receiver Teddy Knox was traveling 116 mph 7.5 seconds before the chain-reaction collision before slowing to 91 1.5 seconds before the crash.

The crash on the North Central Expressway (U.S. Route 75) left at least seven people with injuries.

The two cars "made multiple aggressive maneuvers to get through traffic," the affidavit said.

Rice and four other men were seen leaving the scene of the crash without seeing if any of the injured needed help.

Rice is facing one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury, according to police.

Rice turned himself into police on Thursday and was later released on bond. On April 3, he said he took "full responsibility" for his actions.

Knox has been suspended by the SMU football team. He turned himself in on Friday and faces the same charges as Rice, his former SMU teammate.

Police said that the passengers in the two speeding cars who left the scene will not be charged.

Victims injured in the incident will be silenced by the NFL's deep pockets, and Reesheeshie will become a hero with some community service and favorable coverage by the media.

This will be forgotten by the time the season kicks off in 2024.

Is it possible she just has big handwriting and didn't leave enough room for the "d"? 🤔

Rashee Rice's mom.  Classy woman.

No wonder these athletes can be such trash individuals.   Their parents are just as trashy.

This is a classic example of...it starts with the parents.

There are no excuses here.

No she isnt living in a war zone.

No she doesnt need to steal to get by.

No she isnt in a gang.

Shes just a scumbag.  Sometimes the excuses for people dont work.  Here is a classic example of it.  Maybe some people are just scumbags and they dont need people making excuses for their behavior.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs acknowledged Wednesday night that they are aware of domestic violence allegations made by a woman who is the ex-girlfriend of wide receiver Rashee Rice.

"The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League," the Chiefs said in a statement. "We have no further comment at this time."

Dacoda Nichole Jones, Rice's ex-girlfriend who has two children with the receiver, posted on her Instagram account Wednesday afternoon photos that show bruises and wounds on multiple parts of her body, alleging abuse for numerous years. Jones does not name Rice or anyone else in the post, but she says that the person who abused her is the father of her children. The Chiefs also did not specify that the allegations involve Rice.

As of Wednesday night, Jones has yet to file a police report of domestic violence in Overland Park, Kansas, or in Dallas, the two places mentioned in her post where she says abuse occurred.

In July, Rice was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years' probation for his role in a multicar crash in Dallas that left multiple people injured during the 2024 offseason. Rice, 25, pleaded guilty in district court to two third-degree felony charges -- collision involving serious bodily injury and racing on a highway causing bodily injury. He received deferred adjudication, and the case will be dismissed if he completes probation.

The crash ultimately involved six vehicles. Rice and four of his friends didn't check on those injured and instead fled on foot before police arrived. The incident was captured on video. Rice took full responsibility in a statement he released via Instagram story four days after the crash, and he apologized to "everyone impacted."

In August, the NFL suspended Rice six games for violating the league's personal conduct policy. He served the suspension at the beginning of this season.

What is it with the Chiefs and woman beaters? Hunt, Hill, Rice... per capita they must be the most abusive team in the league.
