Well Sean, I don't know why anyone cares who Tay Tay endorses, but I'm being told by the Left that it's a big thing.  Hundreds of thousands of adults who weren't registered to vote did so through her link, after Swift posted about her position on the election.  But don't vote just because of her, do your own research!

It's not just the left who care about celebrity endorcements.

Aren't 90% of her songs about choosing the wrong person? 😄

Yes, it's weird that middle aged men are actually commenting on who this chick endorses. I've got a 13 year old niece, I ask her if this will influence her decision in November.

Here comes Internet tough guy HT again. He's putting down the Little Debbie snack cakes and getting real...

And I mean- I read an article on the New York Times website that my X feed had on it (the number was in the headline I saw). I clicked on the headline to give more context to Fireballer who actually was trying to have a conversation. It didn't take any digging really at all

If I see an angry Grandpa getting mad at say the self checkout counter I just assume they missed their nap and try to give them a little help.

Maybe he'll push you out of the way too. Hopefully he has on his rent a cop outfit that day so he feels like a real man instead of being a fake tough guy like so many real cops.

Trump had a full meltdown in AZ. His speech there was a disaster. Compare that to the Queen's party in NC! Cultists are going to squirm, lie, and squirm some more. Eventually, you'll tell us that you were never really Trump supporters. 🤦‍♂️

Well Jerry, it seems like a lot of people here seem to care about who Tay Tay endorses. They didn't seem to have a problem with who Hulk Hogan or Kid Rock endorsed. Perhaps you could point me to some of those posts of outrage from you or some of the other people skyscreaming in here. And I know you'll say "Where are the posts of people mocking who Kid Rock wants to vote for but not Tay Tay." To that- I'll say- who cares who Kid Rock is voting for similar to who cares who Taylor Swift is voting for.?

It is good that 407,000 people (so far) signed up to vote because of Taylor Swift. I think we should aim for 100% of people eligible to vote to be registered for voting but that will never happen. Do we not want people registered to vote now? With respect to the 407K number it is a story of some level that arguably the biggest singer in the world encouraged people to register to vote and was successful to a degree.

Should people do their own research? Of course. I assume there will be idiots who vote for Kamala Harris just because Taylor Swift will. I'm sure there are idiots who will vote for Donald Trump just because Hulk Hogan and Kid Rock will. They are all idiots.

But arguably not as big an idiot as the people who are very deeply triggered here in this thread by Taylor supporting Kamala Harris.

I don't want 100% of people voting.  If you only registered to vote because Tay Tay (or Kid Rock) told you to do so, I'd just as well you sit home and play video games on election day.

Voting is a privilege and a responsibility.  I'd rather if idiots abstain.

Well unfortunately that isn't the world we live in. I'm okay with someone registering to vote for whatever reason they want. I'm less okay with someone voting because a celebrity told them to vote a certain way

I used to have this attitude. But it all changed basically with the advent of right wing talk radio, the Tea Party, and then Donald Trump. That was when people I previously thought were intelligent and well-informed began to believe the most outlandish nonsense: that Obama was born in Kenya, that man made climate change is a lie, that the Covid vaccine was dangerous, that Trump won the election in 2020, etc. etc. Now they believe that Haitian immigrants are eating our pets, that Trump’s prosecutions are a weaponization of the Justice Department, that Trump really won the last debate. And they’re voting.
So these people, who think they are informed, need to be countered. And they need to be defeated, soundly. And that means we need a whole lot of people to vote for the other side. The more the merrier. Taylor Swift helps in that regard.

The entire Democratic voting base is comprised of people brainwashed into voting D because of peer pressure.

Republicans for the most part, think and vote without succumbing to peer pressure.

There is no peer pressure. It's  continuous loop of a hiveminded groupthink.

That's why it was so surprising to see a few peel off and admit Trump took it in the shorts in the debate.

Interesting, that's a pretty reasonable list.  Haitians eating pets is probably the most outlandish.  The vax is probably the dumbest thing in your list, since it has been correlated with heart issues.  I always love the birther stuff too -- Obama's own book said he was born in Kenya, and you believed it?!  Dumb neocon!

The covid vaccine was unfortunately politicized and it was actually dangerous in the sense that people were pressured into getting it asap. Do you know anyone who died from it? I do. It should have never been given to him in the first place and he died due to blood clots. I'm not suggesting the vaccine in general was dangerous, more so the rushed nature and the boosters upon boosters to keep fear instilled in the american people.

Trumps prosecutions were, in a sense, a weaponization of the justice department. Dems/Libs spent the last 3.5 years hyper focused on "getting him" because they were deathly afraid he would wallop Biden in another election. Almost so focused on getting Trump that they turned a blind eye to the clown show they had going on in office.

I can't stand Kamala but I would say she won the last debate... but let's be honest, after most debates both sides claim they won, even if it's obvious one side did much better. Kamala succeeded in making that debate about Trump so no one would focus on the Biden-Harris administration. That's why we came out of the debate with no new info on her actual plans or any responses about what she was already a part of.... But again, she did what she was supposed to do and I was at least slightly impressed by that because I've never seen her show the ability to hold a room.

Every thing else you mentioned, I would agree with.  Although, you're talking about intelligence and you previously had edited the title of this post to read Taylor Swift endorses Kamala. The notion that many liberals will vote based on their favorite celebrities is the epitome of a lack of intelligence.

They blamed the literary agent.  Of course, they never corrected it.  My guess is that Obama thought it made him more hipster to be born in Kenya.

I don't personally care where a person is born -- I'm more turned off that he was raised in his formative years in a country that hates America and Christianity.

Anyway, my point is that Tim's list is dumb.

I have to call out some of my fellow patriots. This hoo-ha about Kamala knowing the questions and other aspects of the debate beforehand is completely ridiculous.  There is not a chance that has happened. Please stop with outlandish conspiracies theories.

So you're saying that when the media was dominated by left-wing thinking that aligned with your beliefs, you thought celebrities opinions were just fluff, but once the other side started to get a national voice, you changed your tune?  Shocking!!
