The predominantly Christian countries are the best ones in the world for the most part. Most of the other ones are rotten shitholes with a few exceptions.  Take a look at globe.

O RLY?

Name one country in the top 20 you'd rather live in than the US.  Then go drown yourself.

Do you think it harms kids to see the 10 commandments posted on the wall in some building? Do you let your kids have a phone with internet? Or a laptop? Or watch tv. Or go out into the world and view it with thier eyes? Or teach them how to read?

The 10 commandments would be the least of my worries.

It's a zero sum game.... means nothing and will accomplish nothing. Especially in Louisiana where I'm not sure if they can read down there.

My kids were introduced to the 10 commandments once a week at CCD starting at about age 7, through 1st communion, to age 12 or 13 through confirmation. Oh I forgot about almost every Sunday during that time so about twice a week. That's enough exposure to get the gist.

The predominant religion in the US is Christianity.

It's called the First Amendment, boyo.

This type of ignorance is how we end up with setbacks to the country like Obama and Biden.

Was forced tom memorized them by my Grandmother when I was four.  She also insisted I know how to tie my shoes, to say "yes Si"r and "no Maam"  and" please" and "thank you".

I could not list them now from memory, at least not in order and maybe not all.

I don’t agree with it.  But, no one can argue that Judeo-Christian principles have made us a thriving society.  If the left wasn’t waging a war on the nuclear family and general morality, this wouldn’t have even arisen.

What's your argument, comrade?

I didn’t read your original quote the first time around. But yes it can be argued that Judeo-Christian principles has made this a thriving society.
Our nation is based on the principles of the Enlightenment which was at best at rejection of Judeo-Christian values and at least a complete revision of them.

Wrong.  The Founding Fathers realized that a strong underpinning of religious morality was necessary for the libertarian experiment that was the US of A to succeed.  And the Constitution was designed to keep the federal government out of the states' religious business.  Many states had an official religion well into the 1800s.

Quote

Although the establishment clause of the First Amendment clearly prohibits the creation of a national church, when the amendment was ratified in 1791 it did not eliminate established churches in those states where they still existed; indeed, it would have encountered opposition in those states if it had sought to do so.

https://firstamendment.mtsu.edu/article/established-churches-in-early-america/

Quote

Many states were as explicit about the need for a thriving religion as Congress was in its thanksgiving and fast day proclamations. The Massachusetts Constitution of 1780 declared, for example, that "the happiness of a people, and the good order and preservation of civil government, essentially depend on piety, religion and morality." The states were in a stronger position to act upon this conviction because they were considered to possess "general" powers as opposed to the limited, specifically enumerated powers of Congress.

I'm not espousing that we go back to official state religions, but more so pointing out that you are incorrect on the role of Judeo-Christian principles on the founding of our government.

I don't care where you stand, if you took religion out of the commandments....it's a great moral compass for all to follow.

Lauren Boebert says she wants the 10 Commandments displayed in every classroom in America “because we need morals back in our nation.”

In the irony hall of fame, Joe Biden had hundreds of thousands of people sentenced to lengthy prison sentences for possessing a small amount of crack cocaine.  You lose.

That’s doesn’t make sense. If you’re going all day long mon-sat then aren’t you hitting it more than once on those days?

You couldn't pull yourself from posting on here long enough to do that.

This is a weird take considering Tim, GutterBoy and a whole host of other losers on your side post 5x more than I do, yet here you are singling me out for some reason.

You average 4.11 posts per day - and that's with your multiple suspensions - whereas I average 5 (with no suspensions).  Almost pretty even between you and I.  I mean, even BeachGhey tries this line of attack with me and he - like you, did no actual investigating and math - averages more than 12 posts per day.

Can you guys actually do some research and calculating of numbers before you knee-jerk a post you think is a "gotcha"?  All you've done is owned yourself.

You posted 150x last week you worthless incel.

No one GAF who posted what years ago.

Tell you what, I'll start a thread keeping track of your posts from 1/1/24 through current.

That will bring complete awareness to your 24x7 unhinged posting and show the entire board what a pathetic IRL incel who has no life, no social construct at all you are.

This all right cesspool is your family...LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

It's about to get a little hot for our little MAGAroaches up in here.

It's pretty empty coming from a person like her.  Same with Trump and pretty much most other politicians.  They don't actually believe that.

Well, if you are going to call them out for what you think is bad, then give them credit when they stand behind a good message. :dunno:

I just told you.  It's empty coming from someone like her.  The Ten Commandments do not belong in our public schools.  If you take out the religion part then it's good.

I did some research and calculated some some numbers.  You have 663 posts so far in June.  I have 629.

Talk about owning yourself
