So a person tried to assassinate Trump

How dumb are you?  You don't think Trump is using his assassination attempt to his advantage?  He told the SS to wait to get him to safety so he could fist bump and tell the crowd to fight.  He knew that was an iconic moment.

Pretty impressive that he could immediately do that in the moment though. You gotta admit

It is.  He is a mastermind at presenting an image and manipulating people.  Most of us would have been too concerned about getting out alive.  This sick SOB thinks how can I use this to my advantage.

Biden can use the death of his son at every turn for his political advantage and that’s ok.

Yes it probably does go back to his pathological black hole narcissism, but still… impressive.

So you admit to being manipulated. Good for you.

My point to rlld was the people having outrage now, the Rs crying about rhetoric, are full of crap. They, you, are not consistent. I have been, while also calling out your inconsistency.

Ok, so you're saying that the Republican's started it and while you put "some" blame on Palin for the incident, you don't have a problem with Democrats doing the same thing (because I've never seen any of your posts condemning them), and with that, it's only the Republican's being inconsistent?

As for me not being inconsistent... I never said I had a problem with Palin's comments nor will you find a post of mine blaming Biden for his comment.  That seems pretty consistent... does it not?

Where you hear me blaming Democrats for, on their rhetoric, it's pertaining to identity politics.

Personally I have no problem with Trump saying he was nicked by a bullet, and with him wearing a bandage. I have a lot of problems with Trump but people complaining about this stuff are being stupid IMO.

Gutterboy triggered over the size of the bandage trump chose after his attempted assassination.

IS it still tragic gutterboy that someone tried to kill him or is that overshadowed by his choice in bandage now?

You voted for him, didn’t you? So obviously using your logic you were manipulated.

People who are suggesting that whether the bullet itself nicked him or if it was shrapnel is relevant to this situation is saying to me that those people don't really care that someone tried to kill him and are more concerned with minimizing it.

That's not at all what I've been saying.

As for me not being inconsistent... I never said I had a problem with Palin's comments nor will you find a post of mine blaming Biden for his comment.  That seems pretty consistent... does it not?  If so, that is fair. I apologize.

Not triggered, it's still tragic that the attempt was made.  But he survived, so now his faux maxi pad is fair game to be mocked.  Sorry this upsets you.  Are you shaking?

In 2016 yeah I voted for him.  I was duped to an extent, but he's a much different person now than he was then, and he's been exposed for the giant POS he is.

People told me in 2016 he was a giant POS but I didn't listen, I am now.  You're still not.

Can someone explain why people feel the need to insist they are sad about this when they clearly don't care?

I don't care.  I couldn't care less beyond that it's an interesting story, but I don't give two shìts about an attempt on Trump's life.

Now that's not to say I hope he died or anything.  I simply don't care if he died or almost died or that some crazy took a shot at him.

Take gutterboy.  He clearly doesn't care either, but he insists on saying it's sad and tragic, and then in the next breath mocks a bandage.  That's clearly not the act of someone who's sad.

You guys are so programmed.

It is sad and tragic.  An assassination of an American presidential nominee is sad, anyway you want to slice it.  I was more sad when my last dog died.

But what am I going to do?  Sit in a dark room and cry for a few years?  Even after my dog died I moved on.

So now it's back to normal, talking about why it happened, mocking a bandage, etc.

You don't know what it's like to be a normal person, do you?

Pay no attention to the shooter just walking around and scoping things out before he tries to assassinate Trump.  Not suspicious at all.

I don't care about Trump but I do care about this country.  I worry about what people would do if he was killed.  I remember being worried about that when Obama was elected as well.  I don't want to see us fighting against each other.

By 3 p.m. on Saturday, roughly three hours before the shooting, Crooks was at the security screening area for the rally. He first aroused suspicion when he passed through the magnetometers carrying a rangefinder, which looks similar to a small pair of binoculars and is used by hunters and target shooters to measure distances when setting up a long-range shot, according to a senior law enforcement official briefed on the investigation.

The rangefinder would not have prevented Crooks from getting through the security screening point, but it did attract the attention of security personnel who kept an eye on him until he left the secure area.

Investigators are unsure of where Crooks went after he left the screening area but the working theory is that he went to his car to retrieve the rifle.

Around the same time witnesses alerted police that Crooks was crawling on the roof of the American Glass Research building, one of the four counter-sniper teams observed Crooks looking at their position through the rangefinder, according to the senior law enforcement official.

“They were looking at him while he was looking at them,” the official said.

Crooks gained access to the rooftop by climbing on top of the building’s air conditioning system and hoisting himself up, according to a senior federal law enforcement official briefed on the investigation.

Around 11 p.m., Crooks’ father reported him missing, law enforcement officials told CNN. His father told agents that he believed his son had taken the rifle Saturday to go to the shooting range and thought he would be back by around 1:00 p.m., the sources said.

After the shooting, multiple law enforcement sources said investigators found a bulletproof vest, three fully-loaded magazines, and two remote-controlled explosive devices in Crooks’ car.

Investigators are uncertain as to whether Crooks had a plan to use the body armor, nearly 100 rounds of additional ammunition from those loaded magazines, and two remote-controlled bombs, had he escaped after the shooting.

Additionally, after a search of his residence, investigators discovered another bulletproof vest, another remote-controlled explosive device, and a 3D printer, according to multiple law enforcement sources.

In the last several months, Crooks received multiple packages, including some marked as possibly containing hazardous materials, according to a joint FBI and Department of Homeland Security bulletin obtained by CNN.

The bandage probably goes down and around the ear to secure it. The Dr. probably didn't just use a regular band-aid or two to prevent blood from seeping through. That's the most and last I'm going to say about that and wish others would stop commenting on it.

Well, an officer not associated with the Secret Service, so either associated with the city, county, or state was one of the counter-snipers and took a shot at Crooks, but not the kill shot. He's on administrative leave like all officers involved with a shooting are. So, we're not getting the whole story.

How does a 20-year-old kid with a rifle and rangefinder get within 150 yards of a presidential candidate at a presidential rally?  Am I supposed to believe that a country with a $5 trillion budget can’t do any better.

It's a setup or total incompetence. Take you're pick because those are the only 2 options unless you one is a complete moron.

Yeah let's make fun of all victims as soon as they survive.  Women that get beaten fair game if their bandages are too big?  Rape victims?  Apparently assassination doesn't matter.

Do you react the same way when Trump makes fun of people?  People make fun of him because he's been doing it to others his whole life.

Answer my question regarding Gutter before playing your whataboutism.  Or was your point that Gutter and Trump essentially have equal character?

These guys are a dime a dozen.

If trump went down, you just put desantis up there.  If Biden goes down, put up Kamala or Gavin.

Who cares?  If Biden's debate performance taught us anything, it's that we don't really need a functional person in that role.

That's why I never understood why people are always so keen on defending their team's guy.  Just put a monkey in there with a blue or red suit.  It's all the same.

Now if the point is that shooting a presidential candidate undermines democracy or something... I guess.  It's not like that's a systemic problem.

It’s the idea of a candidate being killed by a crazy person. It is a terrible thing for the nation. Yea there would be a replacement, but talking about them getting murdered like this is bizarre.

It's a one-off.  It's not like candidates would be dropping like flies.  And these candidates both suck anyway.  It's not like we'd be losing out.

By the way, they don't give a shìt about you.  Why do we need to care about them?

But I think the real truth is that you guys really don't care.  For some reason you think you need to pretend you care.  Probably social norms I guess.

I want to argue with you and say it's not the president but the people they appoint. But then I started to think about it. They don't know the thousands of people they appoint. There's no possible way. They just sign off.

So yeah just put a monkey in there. Watching the right make fun of Biden is fun but I understand why people vote for him. If they put an actual carrot running against Biden I'm voting for the carrot. Biden is brain dead but if you a loony lefty never trumpet (like trumps VP seems to be) They will vote for the brain dead guy just like I'll vote for the carrot.
