Right. Because they are terrorists.

If they historically primarily targeted the IDF we would probably refer to it as war.

The idf targets hezbollah and may kill some civilians. Hezbollah targets israel and may kill an occasional IDF soldier.

It is a completely obvious difference that even you can understand.

No it is important and it’s wrong.

The AP is just another left wing media outlet now. Their objectivity disappeared a long time ago.

Mess with a population with an average IQ superiority of 40 points and bad sh*t happens.

Terrorists getting themselves blown up then whining about it to the sensibilities of sympathetic Western leftists is always the same go-to move. They can go looking for tears in some house that isn't mine.

As for this pager/radio explosion, my God, that's next level genius. Tip of the hat to the Israelis responsible for pulling it off. I'm incredibly impressed something like this was attempted and actually worked so damn well. Hezbullah's communications network is shredded and they'll spend the rest of their lives not trusting any technology gadgets.

The videos out there show how precise of an attack this was. That one in the grocery store, there are two dudes within two feet of him and they both are unscathed.

Obviously not every single one is exactly like that, but these pro terrorist propagandists out there saying it indiscriminately put everybody in a 20 foot radius in danger need a bar of soap in their mouths.

Agree.

Someone in the Israeli army must have seen the movie “Jackpot” with John Cena

You do understand Hezbollah is a terrorist organization ?

Hezbollah opposes the government and policies of the State of Israel, and Jewish civilians who arrived following 1948. Its 1985 manifesto reportedly states "our struggle will end only when this entity [Israel] is obliterated. We recognize no treaty with it, no ceasefire, and no peace agreements."

Nice point that went right over my head.

Yes indeed.

Up until five seconds ago, some of them did have the balls.

I see that you are a moral relativist, not surprising.  Hezbollah is a terrorist organization which exists to destroy Israel.  They attack Israel from southern Lebanon despite a (not enforced) agreement with NATO to keep that a demilitarized zone.  NATO in the middle east is a farce, laughably so.

Israel just wants to exist.

If Hamas and Hezbollah put down their weapons tomorrow, there would be peace.  If Israel put down their weapons, those terrorist organizations would obliterate them.

No Leftie here has even responded to my above assertion, maybe you'll be the first?  With a "Jer Bear" tag?

Full disclosure: I did not read this entire thread, but… are there really people sympathizing with Hezbollah here? I can get behind feeling bad for the innocent Palestinians, but sometimes that’s the price of war.

I echo Voltaire’s sentiment-this attack was genius.

It's a good question.  Word is that they pagers were planted for some future war with Hezbollah, but that a few people were getting suspicious about them, so they decided to use them or lose them.

The walkie talkies were similarly planted, and I presume Israel figured Hezbollah would inspect them as well.

The missiles though... maybe Israel decided that the "future war" is now.

The missiles were a targeted strike.

https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/idf-confirms-it-killed-top-hezbollah-commander-ibrahim-aqil-in-beirut-airstrike/

The IDF confirms the killing of senior Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Aqil in an airstrike in Lebanon’s capital Beirut earlier this afternoon.

In a statement, the IDF says Aqil was the head of Hezbollah’s military operations, the acting commander of the terror group’s elite Radwan Force, and the head of a plan to invade the Galilee.

Alongside Aqil, the top brass of Hezbollah’s operations array and the leadership of the Radwan Force were killed in the strike, according to the military.

“Aqil and the commanders who were eliminated were among the architects of the ‘plan for the occupation of the Galilee,’ in which Hezbollah planned to raid Israeli territory, occupy the communities of the Galilee, murder and kill innocents, similar to what the Hamas terror organization carried out in the murderous massacre on October 7,” the IDF says in the statement.

It is wild how many people just decided that the opposite of conservatives is the way they need to live their lives.

You believe thats a man..Well i believe thats a woman then.

You hate terrorists... Well i love them!

You dont want criminals sneaking over the border... Well i think its awesome.

You dont want your car stolen....Pffft, grand theft auto rules baby!

I support free speech....Ha! I decide what you can say!

So not a single one of these terrorists ever boarded a commercial plane carrying one of these? If they did, the damn thing passed right thru security. Does that not concern anyone?

Or am I way overanalyzing this because that was my first thought when I heard about this.

That's a really good question.  You would think these guys go through some shiot hole airports which have tougher security than we do, as well.

Yeah. If it got thru, the the Israelis know how to create this explosive device and circumvent airport detection equipment.  If true, they just gave terrorists a blueprint on how to bring these on board a plane assuming the terrorists can figure out how it was done. This is seriously focked up. A terrorist could then theoretically build one, bring one on board and blow it up.

Or the Israelis expected to use it before any of these freaks ever boarded a plane because if they did and it was caught, their plan would have been exposed.

Are you seriously dumb enough to think a terrorist entity like hezbollah couldn't or havent thought of this on their own?  They spend their entire time planning to blow things up.

Are you as stupid as your post reads cause its retarded. You are clueless.

Thinking it up and being able to do it are 2 different things, moron. Israel did it.

In fact, why don't you prove to all of us that this device would not have passed thru detection at an airport. I'm wanting that answer you complete fuckin moron.

Civilian casualties are terrible. However, this is a pretty ingenious way to target pieces of shet whose plan is to blend in with civilians.

This is nothing new. We did this in Afghanistan by selling The Taliban "Untraceable" Satellite Phones in a brokered deal. They thought they were purchasing them from an arms dealer.

We monitored their every movement for weeks then sent a frequency, BOOM 💥 💥 💥 💥

GOOD TIMES

My point is if you are going to say the terrorists would have never done this themselves youre a fool.
