Evening/Night Posting Ain't What it Used to Be

About 20 years ago, I worked nights and there were several of us that would post all night long. 

It's just not the same anymore.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with reminiscing about things that made you laugh. 

I don't dream or wish for the past, aside from the fact that my children are adults and having them as babies again just for a few minutes would be wonderful. Or that my mom (who has been on hospice for a year) could talk to me again.

But I know there are so many things to be thankful for now. 

I hardly think you are someone that needs to lecture about being emotionally stunted, you need to read your own posts. Or go outside, take a deep breath, and touch some grass.

I can remember back in the early 2000's and I was on about 5 message boards!

The internet was new!

Message boards were new!

It was the height of a brand new shinny object and everyone wanted to be a part of it.

 

The problem isn't message boards, but now there is tiktok, facebook, instagram, X and hundreds of other places to post.

This is funny. I just read another thread about someone wishing for the old days on this site. And posted the following. (I'm guessing it fits in here as well.)

Two more people on this site remembering this site's "glory days" when they were posting ad nauseum while in their 20's and 30's instead of spending time with friends, playing sports, going out to restaurants and bars, dating girls, and generally living life in their youth.

But nope, they chose to sit alone in their rooms being online with a bunch of strangers day after day for 20+ years. 

Makes me feel sad for you all.
