Years later he (friend) told me he was considering stock in Amazon just thought Disney was more “kid friendly” and I do not recall the $$ but he told me what it would of been worth at that time and it was a crazy ##.

i think 10k in amazon stock 30 years ago would be worth roughly 12M today when you factor in all the stock splits. id be looking at 20 years ago and significantly less than that but 18 year old me had 30k saved up from working throughout my junior/senior years plus graduation gifts and such. i didn't really touch much of that aside from books/food/beer while at college and continued working summers anyway.   I could have easily invested 20k.... now would I still be holding those shares today? of course not .....   would 18 y/o me understand   "Buy HOLD Amazon"?    actually, probably. I guess that should be my 3 words.
