Old people issues - We need to put a limit on how long they can live.

Recommended Posts

My grandmother is 90, she just moved into an "assisted living" thing for blue hairs.

Gubment is paying for it, 100% her and my grandfather have nothing.

My question is, why? what's the point? Say goodbye to everyone and just ask for Dr. Jack K.

what is with this insanity? she can't leave, she lays in a focking bed all day. WHY?

just do the world a favor and stop wasting focking money.

We need to put an end to old people

I think if you offered the assisted suicide option to people living in assisted living facilities, 50% or more would take it. My father is 96. He is still in fantastic shape mentally, but he has had his share of physical woes lately. He lived on his own until 2 years ago, when he decided that a move to the assisted living facility was the best choice since he was on a walker. He is completely lucid, and has said on more than one occasion that he wishes he was with my mother. He does not fear death and recognizes that if he died now, he will have lived a very full life.

There is no reason as a sane society we cannot offer assisted suicide to our sick and old.

Brilliant! Excellent point.

And we are the ones speaking for our pets, as they can't speak for themselves.

Most people that would elect to have assisted suicide can speak for themselves.

What is the focking issue?

I think that 50% is less now thanks to Viagra

My problem trusting you with this kind of thing, edjr, is you like to off them a little young... like while they're still in the womb.

Little too quick on the trigger imo

You don't have to limit that to the elderly. When I walk down Wall Street and see the homeless laying along the sidewalk, hungry and freezing their asses off, and a well-fed, groomed-weekly poodle wearing a sweater and boots is walked past them by some snotty Fidi biotch, I often think, "Man, that dog has a much better life than that person. They piss in the same place, but the dog has better clothes and food."

A bed-ridden 90 year old lady is more valuable to this world than you. Why don't you dig up your dead moms carcus, lay next to her, and we'll fill in the hole. We'll even sprinkle some of the bone residue from one of your aborted kids on the grave....for good measure

You walk down Wall Street and see homeless people? I've worked in FiDi since 20004 and there have been no homeless people. They haven't let anyone loiter since 9/11. Cool story though about working on Wall Street. No legitimate financial companies actually are located on Wall St.....but you knew that

Not all 90 yr old people are created equal.

My grandpa went skydiving on his 90th birthday. He died about 9 months later at home.

I'm not a fan of keeping people alive by artificial means, but people need to be allowed to go out on their own terms.

Yes. I walk from World Trade to Water Street, and almost every day during the morning rush, there are a few homeless guys/women who sit either at the corner of Wall and Broadway (near the TD bank) or on Wall in the area coming down from Broadway to NYSE. There is one guy in particular who sits on that downhill slide coming down Wall from the 4/5 train. There are also some homeless either on Broad or William depending on the day. The ones on William usually set up camp between Wall and Pine, under the scaffolding on the western side of the street. There are also a number of homeless who are on Broadway one block north of Wall in front of the Walgreens. I didn't think that would mean as much to the group here if I said they were on William, Broad or Pine, so I just used "Wall Street." And, if you have not seen them since 2004, you must have your eyes closed.

We have the death with dignity law here, thankfully. Can't imagine dying from cancer or some other long drawn out painful miserable disease naturally. They really should extend this to the elderly. My friend's mom is in assisted living. She's 90 and she just wants to die already. She spends most of her time in bed, hates not being home and thinks her kids conspired to take her out of her house, is in the ER every month minimum, meds don't work well... It's exhausting on family too. If the person wants to go then they should whether they have less than 6 months to live or not once you get that age where quality of life is basically 0.

Get rid of the "disabled" and tards too. If you're of working age and unable to work, you get euthanized. MAGA.
