I had one friend draft him in that manner in more than one league. I cussed at him repeatedly and begged him to get a 'just in case Kirk turns back into bad Kirk' alternate. He ignored me. Now, one week in, all his faab are belong to bids on another qb. Maybe not all, but something!

One bad game does not make a season. Lots of attempts and got yards. Just needs the TDs and stop the dumb INTs.

How many guys "beg" their friends to do something just for the good of their FF team. The correct response is to laugh at them when it blows up in their face.
oldtimer 84 Posted September 13, 2016 I have Cousins on a lot of teams. I was worried about this game as the Washington O Line is pretty weak and they have no RB's who can help pass protect. Pitt has an underrated defense and they seemed to blow right through and around that line. Cousins, and the entire offense, will get better. It was one game. General Gannicus 12 Posted September 13, 2016 I lost by three lousy points... Of course they got tackled at the two yard line and ran it in.. The high school interceptions didn't help either... Right now he is now known to me a Cousins-in-law cuz I'd be ashamed to call him my blood family... 350 and 3 vs Dallas leading me to a win or he will be getting Gatorade for whatever scrapper qb I roll with in game 3.... IGotWorms 3,315 Posted September 13, 2016 I tried to tell everyone he sucks. Not sure how he had that run to end the season but every time I've watched him play he seems like a marginal NFL talent

Not sure how he had that run to end the season but every time I've watched him play he seems like a marginal NFL talent He is what he is - only delusional Skins fans see him as a real qb.. Like I said, even the Skins brass doesn't believe in him or they would of locked him up long term.
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted September 13, 2016 Yeah not only were his throws piss poor, but he was making terrible decisions. Should have ran on a few, the 4th down play... Just terrible qbing
TimHauck 1,801 Posted September 13, 2016 I tried to tell everyone he sucks. Not sure how he had that run to end the season but every time I've watched him play he seems like a marginal NFL talent I think most people are aware of this. But marginal NFL talent can still mean a pretty good fantasy QB. All those garbage time yards still count the same in fantasy. Honestly surprised they were trying so hard to score down by that much with less than a minute to go.
Kent 228 Posted September 13, 2016 That Skins team isn't good enough to take anyone lightly - neither are we. Could be an ugly played game. I'm not saying it's a win. I'm saying he will likely have a good fantasy day against Dallas, win or lose.

Kent 228 Posted September 13, 2016 One things for sure, his jersey won't get dirty. We have zilch of a pass rush and the middle crossing routes should be open all day long. Dak won't get dirty either. But I expect a huge dose of Zeke. Dez might even be a middling fantasy play because teams are going to run on us all day. Game flow may change that but in the first half I expect Dallas to pound the ball down our throat.

jimaveli 119 Posted September 14, 2016 It's a message board sirs. I'm not planning on ever lying about something I've said. I really looked a dude in the face who I talk fantasy football with on a reg. A friend. A coworker. I love the guy and he sometimes is brilliant on rbs and wrs...especially late round/sneaky folks. He's the guy who DRAFTS the week one waiver guys. But he is NOTORIOUS for hitching his ffb wagon to the wrong late-round qb and tanking otherwise good teams. So, I really said to him 'hey man...don't show up and draft Kirk Cousins and Nick Foles yourself...again'. He laughed and said 'Kirk was pretty good last year'. I told him the story of how Kirk killed me one week a couple seasons ago with a Monday night implosion vs the Giants and how that and other games showed that me that I could NEVER depend on him alone. It's almost like reverse psychology cuz I know he was set and the spreadsheets had taken him down the wrong road again... Sometimes, with fantasy football, folks get too deep into the spreadsheets and total year stats and too far away from the visuals. Sometimes, the clues of outliers are there. And Kirk is one of those guys who can't help himself with making omg bad throws, tanking drives, killing rb production, and netting a team losses. It's just a matter of whether the defense makes him pay or not when he makes a bad throw. And I really think yesterday is just one of a few times where Kirk will show up out of nowhere and drop a 10 on somebody. He hasnt won a game vs a winning team in a looooong time. And if/when he does, it's usually a shocker. And some of tape is very incriminating and in-line with super shaky sometime-y qbs who have good runs in spots but are ultimately not the guy you want to walk through a whole season with as your only option. But hey...you don't have to listen to my 'I've been watching this stuff for years' old man musings. Maybe I'm super wrong and Kirko is actually a grand late round guy who will bring riches to many via a full great season besides this one stinker. As it stands, I view him as a classic 'chasing last year's points' candidate who has a wide range of outcomes from week to week with no obvious rhythm to follow. My backups in my two leagues of note are Crab Legs and Stafford. I'd take both over Kirko over a season in a walk and they were all drafted around the same time. The great thing? We'll get to see it play out.

crackills 19 Posted September 14, 2016 CK has me worried... while one game does not make a season.. he looked terrible most of that game. Bad decision making, errant throws, incapable of reading the D. Gruden's terrible game plan didnt help things.. but the result should have been much better. I'd give him one more week before you panic.. but if you have someone decent on the bench with a good matchup, I would start them.

Cruzer 1,992 Posted September 15, 2016 My other QB is Winston, but he's playing against AZ. Not sure what to do at this point. It doesn't matter how bad Cousins looked last week - Dallas' defense sucks 10x worse. We have no pass rush and soft corners. I expect at least 250 and 2 tds out of KC. Cruzer 1,992 Posted September 19, 2016 The Skins had no biz losing that game. If not for Cousins sucking beyond belief, we get drilled. He missed at least 2 easy tds - plus the pick in the end zone.

Kent 228 Posted September 19, 2016 so is he droppable at this point? I'm looking at Flacco and Fitz on the waiver wire. No way. The Skins won't commit to the run and have struggled when trying. The D stinks. It's fantasy gold.

Cretins 21 Posted September 19, 2016 so is he droppable at this point? I'm looking at Flacco and Fitz on the waiver wire. I was thinking the same about Fitz. I drafted Cousins purely to cover for Cam's week 1 matchup vs. Denver (boy did that blow up in my face). Since I just need a reliable backup I was thinking about dropping Cousins for Fitzpatrick too, but I just looked at the Jets' upcoming matchups. The next 4 are KC, Seattle, Pittsburg, and Arizona. Those are some pretty stout D's against the pass. Flacco may be a better option with much more lenient match ups over the next few weeks in Jax, Oakland and Washington. Then again, it's Flacco. Half his receivers are coming to games on day passes from their old folks homes. Not sure that makes him more reliable than Cousins.
Kent 228 Posted September 19, 2016 What's the reaction like today - who's head do fans want more, Cousins or Gruden? It's all over the place. Panic has set in. 0-2 at home is a total disaster. Giants game is a must win now.
polecatt 403 Posted September 19, 2016 He is actually throwing for a decent amount of yards. I'm guessing the touchdowns will come eventually Yeah they will. He threw one yesterday. He's going to have a few of those. The multiple games will start coming as well very soon. Probably next week. What I I'm not sure will though is the rushing TDs. He had 6 last season. The interceptions are a bit of a concern as well. He threw 2 last week and a bad one yesterday in the end zone that should have been a TD. Could he be in for a big increase there this season? I think you have a good chance to beat the Giants on the road after losing at home. Getting out of the city may be a relief. There's not a big difference in talent between the two teams IMO. The Giants are due to lose a close one after winning two games by 4 combined points.

NY could very easily be 0-2 themselves - they've certainly not blown the doors off of anyone and have been a bit fortunate to be honest... But we damn sure don't have a defense worth a flip to seriously compete. May turn out Philly is the one to beat. They get the Bears 2nite, could be 2-0 real quick. jgcrawfish 232 Posted September 19, 2016 A concern is the rumors you're hearing out of locker room that the team is questioning his leadership. Things in Washington can turn south really quickly. Gruden's comments at the presser also weren't very encouraging. Bigger concern is the INT's in general. He was so valuable last year because that INT rate was so low, but he already has 3 in 2 games this year and missed some wide open plays that would have made this game a very different story. That INT in the endzone is a killer. Guy completes a very high % of his passes and I think the TD's will come eventually, but the Giants game isn't the place to look for them. That team just shut down Brees and the Saints,
