California taxpayers have donated generously to every disaster in every state- more than most other states combined- without any qualifications or restrictions. If Trump or the Republicans try to pull this crap now there will be hell to pay. Fock around and find out.

Fix what? Your side has literally focked up everything for years. You personally get 95% of what you post wrong because you're an emotional teenager lashing out all the time. You're losing your sh!t now because your city is burning to the ground, which is caused by a lot of policies of people you voted for. Dumb ass

I remember when you said you'd never post on this forum because it was so disgusting. Why would you spend time in a place like this? Oh, that's right. You're a pathelogical attention hoer

My religious beliefs are none of your concern. My comments about anti-Semitism have nothing to do with my personal identity. I feel the same EXACT way about bigotry against Jews as I do about bigotry against Christians or against Muslims. It’s all disgusting, it all deserves to be called out and condemned.

Again this has never been demanded before- not in Florida or North Carolina or New Jersey. If it’s done in California it will be for political purposes and I guarantee the result will be ugly.

Wildest things I see with any regularity in Philly are possums and raccoons. I did see a fox in Fairmount Park once. And free range junkies on the L train.

That’s my point. If the fire chief is admitting today it made any difference, then the questions should be asked. Again, fire tends to grow exponentially. Small differences early on make big problems in short order. It’s an exercise they’ll need to do and find answers once things are contained. It’s just typically when someone admits there’s a problem on the first question, it likely runs a little deeper than that.

Not sure, but Jabba the Hutt is in your wedding video.

Back to the fire. In terms of evaluating state government performance (which seems to be what most people here care about) I think we need to divide it into two categories: before the fire (preparation) and during the fire. There is a whole lot of criticism about what happened or what didn’t happen before the fire. I think that a lot of it is bogus (delta smelt, sending equipment to Ukraine, preferring diversity over competence, etc.) and some of it may have real merit (cutting spending on fire preparation, lower amounts of water, etc.) We really won’t know the answers to this without a thorough examination of what went wrong. That will take place, but unfortunately both sides will predictably attempt to focus on the narrative that suits them the best. Since the fire began, however, I think the government has performed very well, particularly Newsom. Bass less so; she seems to be preoccupied with deflecting blame which is never a good look.

Fair enough. What I wrote is true I believe of many conservatives here. I shouldn’t have written “you guys” if it doesn’t apply to you. I won’t make that error again.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of people losing their jobs for ill behavior outside of work unless it's some very serious behavior. I mean, if this guy loses his job then his family suffers too and who's going to end up taking care of them if he can't find another job or another job that can pay for the things they have? We are. So in that case we lose too. I think public shaming and banning him from games is probably enough.

Rental rates continue to soar and the amount of vacancies is almost nil. I was able to secure an apartment for my family in west LA last Friday in the nick of time (only because I got a lucky after many inquiries). That isn’t available now. Nothing is. If you’re looking for an apartment to relocate in Los Angeles might as well move to another county.

They keep saying unprecedented. Like Maui, Colorado, and the tunnel never happened. People saved their own houses with hoses and buckets, but 117 million gallons wouldnt have helped. Good god. Anybody defending the butch crew is just trash.
