What's lost in all this is that I don't think he was ever considered a lock first round talent by execs. He might have gone in the second based on talent. The reason people thought he was a top 5 talent is because Deion told the media that, and then the media told the public that because they don't know shìt anyway. And as typical, the masses are told something by the media and immediately adopt it as a core belief. And that's the real difference between Eli and Shedeur. Eli was considered an elite prospect, so teams were willing to deal with his demands. You don't get that leeway when you rate to be a career backup.

Trump admires what Putin did. Putin used Russia's full might to annex valuable territory. Trump is looking for opportunities to do the same. In the vein that presidents should always look to advance the well being of the nation - even at the cost of other nations - it makes sense. Canada is resource rich and is valuable land. However, if the intent would be to perform a hostile takeover of an allied nation, that would likely not have the desired effect of net positive standing of the US and any action taken toward such a goal would be undone by the next president. Another option is mad man diplomacy, but Trump is neither smart enough to feign such a move with a larger goal in mind nor would his ego allow himself to be purposely perceived as crazy. So we are left with a dummy trying to cosplay what he thinks is good leadership, but without the necessary insight to understand the nuances of each situation.
