Almost everyone you’re arguing with here is being an idiot. They’re deliberately avoiding the facts in this case because it doesn’t fit their world view. They can’t ever admit that ICE behaved like thugs and is completely responsible for this woman’s murder. The good news is that they are a shrinking minority. The majority of the public was horrified by this murder and horrified by the actions of ICE in general under Trump. November will begin a large repudiation of everthing these guys are trying to do. Weekend update: 3 out of 5 photon torpedo sessions done, so far so good. I'm maybe a little tired, but it's hard to tell. I'm also fighting cancer and it's been over 100 degrees here. Like last time, the radiation techs love my music choice of 90s Alt Rock. Yesterday I had a new tech, maybe 40, but clearly a fan. He asked who my favorite group of that era was, and I said I had to go with Tool. He's also a big fan; he told me about Tool prepping for a run at the Sphere, and I told him that one of those "candlelight concert" string quartets is doing a Tool show at the Phx Art Museum in June (these are really cool btw; I've seen the Beatles and Queen). Anyway, they strapped me in and the music started; some song but he changed it to Tool Schism. It's great musically, but it didn't occur to me until afterwards that the lyrics were eerily appropriate. It's about a relationship gone bad, but if you think of cancer as a cruel mistress (as I have been recently, for a short memoir I'm thinking of writing), it kinda fits, especially the destructive imagery for both cancer and radiation (smoldering, disintegrating, burned a hole). Anyway, I'm doing fine. My wife is out of town at a niece's bridal shower, but my daughter came over last night to keep me company. We watched Weapons (meh...), ate sushi, and she helped me care for our sick cat. He seems somewhat better this morning, so hopefully he has turned a corner. I'm going to pop over to the gym and make an appearance for my friends there, but I'll just walk/jog the treadmill vs. taking a HIIT class. Otherwise it's mostly butt on couch for one of my favorite weekends of the year sports wise.

Political violence in this country comes mostly from the right wing, about 75-80% of the time in the 21st century. So let’s get into a deeper dive here as to why conservatives are so pissed at the SPLC. It ain’t because of the KKK stuff or even Charlottesville- most conservatives aren’t bigoted against black people (sorry @RaiderHaters Revenge you’re in the minority among your buddies on this one.) I think it’s for two other reasons: 1. In recent years whenever conservatives look for supposed statistics to back up their anti-undocumented immigrant agenda, they usually get them from two sources: The Federation for Immigration Reform (FAIR) and the Center for Immigration Studies. Unfortunately both of these organizations, despite their innocuous sounding names, are bigoted white-supremacist groups who spread false information which is easily disproven. And here is the root of the issue: most conservatives don’t want to admit, even to themselves that their agenda against what they call “illegal immigrants” is in fact a racist agenda. Even though it’s so completely obvious to the rest of us. So it’s easier for them to attack the messenger, in this case the SPLC. 2. Similarly to the undocumented immigrant issue, conservatives don’t want to accept the undeniable truth that their anti-gay and trans agenda is also rooted in ugly, ignorant bigotry. So once again they resent anyone who claims with authority to expose this fact: in this case the SPLC. In a larger sense this is what the fight against “woke” is all about: a denial by conservatives that their motives in these issues is base and ugly.

So if we took away the guy who got shot because he thought it was a good idea to bring a gun to a riot, and only had the purple haired girl who tried to kill the ICE agent with her car, ICE's +/- is looking pretty good at the moment. You would never know that if you listened to the Chicken Littles, or Chicken Libtards as I like to call them, who act like ICE is out there killing people everywhere. To all you ICE agents out there doing your job, protecting our nation and its laws....thank you! Most America loving, normal people appreciate your sacrifices.

Toward that end I was a distant observer to the goings on here domestically and the Kirk murder really hit. I had some time to reflect and while I have always wanted to reach out to the ignorance of the left to move them toward the middle, I see now that it cannot be done. The murderous and shylock ways of modern liberals make it clear to me that I have to create some distance and more or less be ready to fight. All this being said to just note that I will no longer participate here, the liberals who have arisen here are likely not salvageable and moreover, could be just as violent as their peers who so easily murder for their cult beliefs.
