All went well. Here is what my wife has been sending out: He's done and in recovery. The nodule is "consistent with squamous cell" (what he's had before). She took some more lymph nodes but they looked normal. They will test them. He'll be in recovery for "a while". She said his lungs look great. Funny, we always hear how healthy he is other than the cancer. So, while expected, it being cancer sucks. We'll figure out a plan in the next few weeks.

Normally I'd give an incoming POTUS a grace period of 6-9 months in regards to "owning" the economy; but Trump was so intent on a Hundred Days blitz that he kind of negates that grace. If he had sunset more Federal employees and gave a further out deadline for the tariffs (both to allow American businesses and other countries in line), his outlook would be much more rosy. He owns any failures of this economy. There's no real tie back to Biden....but to be fair, if it succeeds...none of the Dems can ride on his coat tails. He would own the success as well.

I had nothing to do with the Political forum being shut down. I wasn’t even around when it happened. It’s bullsh!t. I think it mostly happened because conservative posters reported everybody. It was pretty rare of me to report anyone; you had to be really offensive. But the Trumpers did it all the time. On purpose I think to get the whole thing shut down. There were a few libs too but it was 90% comservatives who were the problem.

A person can commit an illegal action. Depending on the nature of that illegal action, a person can be called a “criminal”. (Entering this country without proper papers is either a misdemeanor or a low level felony depending on circumstances and does not by itself make a person a “criminal”). A person can NEVER be “illegal” in a free society. Illegal is an act. To a call a person that is to dehumanize them. That is an aspect of a dictatorship.

Sorry, I'm, having trouble with this - no one is really answering, because I've asked about the Trumpy Bears and golden statues and the groupies hanging outside the country clubs.... Yes I am repeatedly critical of Trump but I have never contributed to any political campaign, I've never owned a political tshirt or hat and I've never had a political sign in my front yard. How about you? I do have problems with a lot of Dem and liberal policies, but IMO the America I know has always held a core of principles that Dems and genuine GOPers shared in common, and IMO he's an ideologue with diametrically opposed views to those core American principles. So basically I drop my policy differences because I think these core principles are far more important, maybe even existential for our country. But again on this derangement issue - This is a pin that's going around in Trump administration & Congressional GOP circles. - That pic is of the FCC chairman, that's a commission which is supposed to be independent. Now see to my POV that's Deranged. And I get that politicians have sycophants and stans or whatever - but Trump specifically appointed two authors of children's books about him - "King Donald" - as Ambassador to Israel and FBI Director (!), these people are actually desired and promoted to the highest levels of government, not merely chitchatting on FF forum message boards.

Surgery is tomorrow, report time 5:30am, surgery 7:30 (west coast time). Good news is I'm the first surgery so I don't have to wait for some indeterminate delay. Bad news is I need to drive 45 minutes for that report time. My wife is wigging out more about this than I am. Probably because her uncle had this procedure -- albeit in his 70s and a heavy smoker all his life, whereas I'm in my 50s and never smoked, but... um, he died during it. I presume his lung wouldn't re-inflate? Anyway, I don't expect to die, but wish me luck anyway, especially about the nodule being benign. Also the not dying part.
