nobody 2,690 Posted March 4, 2010 It's a brilliant idea this show is. They don't ever tell us anything, so we'll imagine the answers we seek are what we would find most intriguing. That only works to keep people interested though. The end result, however, is the show's finale can be nothing but a disaster since they strung us along for so long thinking there was some amazing ending that they will never be able to live up to. No matter what they do, the ending won't satisfy people. It's almost guaranteed to be some bullsh!t that doesn't tie up loose ends and probably won't quite fit with the events of the first 5 seasons. Here's to pleasant surprises though.

Here's to pleasant surprises though. That is what i say. There is no way the show can end to satisfy everyone. For example, a lot of people would love to see Jack take over as the protector, but people like Lack would throw their TV out of the window if this were to happen and probably rip the throats of the writers. I think the show will end with something completely unexpected that will leave us all starring blankly at the screen, and mix reviews will follow.
Lackman 0 Posted March 4, 2010 I just rewatched the episode, sober. I kept my anger in check, and kept an open mind. It was a decent episode I guess. There is no possible way this series can end in any way that would satisfy me. It's been an interesting ride, I am not going to stop watching the show by any means, but it's been a slightly underwhelming season so far. My expectations are way too high, so I need to dial down my emotions so I can accept the mouthful of sh!t that the writers are ramming elbow deep down my throat. Happy thoughts, happy focking thoughts, happy thoughts... Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket Never let it fade away Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket Save it for a rainy day Lalalalalalalalalalalalalllllllllllllalrgurglerhh. Listen my friend. Just enjoy the show and let the ending come to you. You are correct, it will likely not satisfy you. Nobody pays attention to detail on a show like you do. Nobody. They are not doing it for you to have a satisfied feeling at the end. It's time for you to enjoy how this show ends, enjoy the beautiful 10 episodes that are left. Soon, it will be over and we will be talking about what a great show it was and how much we miss it. More importantly, we will be looking for something similar to watch and we will soon realize.........there is no other show. This show is about as close to it gets as a show that can really contain my interest week after week. Even the weaker episodes are better than everything else that is out there. Anyhow, when it's all said and done three months from now, the time will come for you to begin writing your own show. You can do this PB. You're just crazy enough to write something incredible. Do it.

The show invited people to scrutinize every little detail, and understanding the story actually requires the viewer to pick up all the nuances and details. If the show is going to do that, they should wrap everything up and tie it all together. Don't make a show predicated on detail and then leave huge chunks of the story unanswered. Sho Nuff 720 Posted March 4, 2010 Ive found the last season and this season I enjoy the show far more when I don't psycho analyze every minute detail to death. I think some of what got people hooked on all the what-ifs early on and hitting the net right after the show to discuss analysis of the show has now spoiled everyone. They could not keep up that pace (the writers or the viewers). In the end, the article I read on another board summed it up well. The show is still about what it started as...about the characters...about their inner struggles (good/evil, faith/science, free will/destiny). They are just using different means to tell the story. And yes, there is no way to satisfy everyone...never will with any show.

Lackman 0 Posted March 4, 2010 I still think Locke (the man who died) is one of the most complex, interesting, dynamic and tragic characters ever on television. You don't read my novellas each week, but I've been gushing about Locke for a while now. I thought he was terrific on other shows like Millennium, Harsh Realm, X Files, stuff like that. He is carrying the show right now nearly by himself. Ben was fantastic for 4 seasons. Sawyer, Juliet, Hurley, Sayid, Desmond, Ethan, Radzinsky and a few other folks have done pretty good jobs. Then, there are the rest. The tradition of Lost write-ups begins and ends with the Airing of Grievances. I got a lot of problems with you people! And now, you're gonna hear about it. I didn't like Juliet or Radzinsky. Especially Juliet. The whole premise surrounding her is retarded. Sawyer lived with her for 3 years. He should know everything she knows about the island. You're telling me that you're focking a chick that has intimiate knowledge of the mysterious happenings of the island for three years, and you don't stop and ask her, hey, what's up with that freaky temple? What's up with Richard? What's up with this Jacob character? What's up with that smokey? Then when she first hooked up with Jack and they actually asked straightforward questions for once on the whole show, she would just smirk in their faces and not say sh!t. I guess we're supposed to believe she lived on the island for years and never knew anything about what's going on.

I guess we're supposed to believe she lived on the island for years and never knew anything about what's going on. Did Juliet really know any of that? 1. She knew about the temple. Doesn't mean she ever went there. 2. She said Richard was "very old." Maybe that's all she knew. Maybe Sawyer couldn't give a toss if Richard is an Ethiopian. 3. Did Sawyer even know about Jacob to ask? Even if, what would Juliet know. Ben Linus, her leader, didn't know ###### about Jacob either. How would Juliet know anything? The only person who knew anything about Jacob was Richard. I doubt Richard said anything. 4. Ben Linus didn't know anything about smokey. He had no clue what it was. How would Juliet? The only thing she knew was that Smokey hated sound. That's how they kept it out of the Dharma village.

CantTouchThis 23 Posted March 5, 2010 I'm not talking about the actor (who is phenomenal); I'm talking about the character. Locke is an incredibly complex character for a TV show. O'Quinn graduated from my school, go chips!! I liked him a lot before that, after i learned that i kind of want to meet the man. John Locke and Benjamin Linus are two of the best overall characters to ever grace the prime-time television scene. Then you have characters like Desmond, Richard, Russo, Eloise and Charles W, and so on. Very deep, mysterious, and complex characters. Characters are the driving force of the show, and the acting is sensational for the most part. Like previously said, Kate and Claire's acting ability is not very good, but they are 2 of the weaker actors on the show. After last week, i think Sayiid character just jumped another level, along with Naveen's acting ability. His acting in the last show alone should earn him an Emmy. Bloody brilliant. Lackman 0 Posted March 5, 2010 Cliff notes for gocolts: Kate is a monster. She is the worst character on LOST. Jack is stupid. He is the 2nd worst character on LOST. Sun is a monster. She is the 3rd worst character on LOST. Locke = MIB = Smoke Monster is the greatest character in TV history. Ben is a favorite of mine. Sneaky motherfocker that makes me laugh. Brilliant character. What did I miss? Juliet's boobs are great. Ilana's boobs are getting better ever episode. Jacob is an assh0le. That's about it. If you've been reading my opinions for the last 4 seasons, this is a consistent theme. Search function.

After EVERYTHING John had been through, to have end it like that. WOW. Yea, so tragic yet so fitting. Hearing those last words actually hurt. I felt so bad for that guy, because despite being something of a schlemiel, you loved the guy. You were rooting for him. You wanted him to be right. Quick question: Jack or Locke? That was the main conflict Season 1. They were always at odds. Now pick one. It's Locke hands down, right?

I hope Jin kills her when they finally meet back up. Fock Jake and Kate too. I agree that Locke and Ben are outstanding. Have liked Locke from the get go. Was not a Ben fan in the beginning, but once the show gave him some story time, he quickly became one of my favorites on the show. Mr. Echo was great. Wish he didn't leave the show. OakHeadFootball 1 Posted March 5, 2010 Him and Mr. Eko were two compelling characters that the writers just DROPPED. I understand Eko's case. I never got why they dropped Walt. He seemed crucial to the island in the first couple seasons. Walt was literally growing faster than the show was progressing. Trying to write him in during a 5 year growth spurt would have been wack. Besides if Walt didn't go missing Michael had nothing to scream insanely about and then he doesn't end up killing Libby and Anna which would have led to Hurley getting laid and never leaving the island and Sawyer not hooking up with Juliet and causing the incident. Then on top of it Michael never comes back to redeem himself and blow up the freighter which would in turn give the other LOSTies a means to escape causing Ben to get jiggy and take all of em out with his baton and then... Ohhh fock my nose just started bleeding. I need my constant.

Voltaire 5,317 Posted March 5, 2010 They scerwed the pooch with Walt. They had a great child actor (nominated for an emmy in that category if I recall), I don't know his name, but I really liked the job he did. But I gues he outgerw them. I suppose if they had to do it over again, since it was all going to be a time loop anyways, they could have shot season six or season four or what have you episodes way, way in advance. Now if they want a young Walt, they'd need a new actor. edit- google search says: Malcolm David Kelley won a Young Artist Award for his performance as Walt in 2006. jvirne 0 Posted March 5, 2010 Now that they jumped ahead three years in time, they could bring him back. They already have, in limited extent. Locke went to see him at school just before he died. The kid looks like a D-1 point guard. I hope they bring him back, both for closure in the story, and for the kid. Give him another spotlight to prove he can act as a young adult too.
