I hope we start getting some real substance to chew on. I like the new episodes but they seem to be dragging real slow and going out of the way to keep us in the dark. After many years I shouldn't be surprised about this but I just don't want them to wait till the last 3 episodes to really delve into the goodies. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed in this episode...but it's just another one filled with more questions and a classic LOST numbers thing for the internet masses to examine vigorously for the next week.

 

I'm bankin' on Jack's baby momma turning out to be Juliet. Also seen rumors of Eloise (wtf?) with David = Daniel Farraday. Sure, why not?

the enhanced episode answered two questions that people were speculating about...

it was the black smoke monster at the beginning of the last episode (seemed to flash white)

and that was the bullet that ilana's guy fired which was flattened against locke's chest in the foot of the statue

 

eventhough tonight's felt more like a setup episode, i liked it

seeing the numbers/names again was cool

and i liked how they went back to the caves and talked about the dead bodies and the coffin (gives me faith they'll tie up most loose ends)

 

didn't mind the jack flash-sideway. thought it'd be shannon we might see instead of the samurai dude. he's not from a different time period.

 

i'll have to catch the ending again, but didnt it sound like someone might NOT be coming and jacob was just guiding hurley to influence jack?

 

maybe a transport will come with widmore, desmond, aaron AND walt so we can get some questions answered!

and i wouldnt mind a murky-temple-water wrestling match between kate and claire

I'll reserve most of my comments for the writeup, with these exceptions...

 

How can this series have a conclusion other than disappointing me? Jacob thinks Jack is very important. Swell. Jacob appoints Jack in charge of the island, and it will sink 5 minutes later upon Jack's first decision.

 

The LAX has to be an epilogue. If it's not, I'll be throughly disgusted.

 

Fockballs. It took long enough for someone to be mad enough to potentially kill Kate. My rooting interest is not going to be a secret. Claire axing Justin gave me a boner. Kill Kate, and I'll give LOST the benefit of the doubt for an epic conclusion.

 

Who's coming to the island? If someone is really coming to the island. If it's not Desmond, I'll be disappointed.

 

As great as this series has been, it's been really hit or miss this final season. Last week was epic. This week, not so much. I might give it a 2.5 out of 5, but Jack being the worst pussie father in the world really was a drag. Hurley was OK. Claire was cool. Jack still sucks.

108 is an important number in this story. Desmond had to push the button every 108 minutes, Lepidus had to use 108 as a bearing to get to the island in the helicopter. Makes sense 108 would be Jacob. Wallace, the name, is just a red herring, IMO.
