jerryskids 6,825 Posted September 25, 2012 I'm rooting for Seattle, it makes no sense. The Cardinals benefit from a Seattle loss more. Either I hate donhaas that much, or I've got some collegiate-like affiliation for my division.

phillybear 366 Posted September 25, 2012 Tate dropped it. Need a 3 and out. Still time left. Seattle still can't come back in 4th quarters.

cbfalcon 825 Posted September 25, 2012 The refs are bad. But.... I feel like the announcers, media, etc are all grandstanding now. Everyone feels the need to not simply criticize a call, but to make a grand statement on the state of the game and how his is just a travesty. John Gruden for instance...the annoying POS hasn't said a negative word about a single player or coach in 5 years. But he sees this as his chance to be negative, albeit in the safest environment to be negative in the history of sports. As though this moment of negativity will increase his cred in some way. We all know the refs suck! There is no need to grandstand. If someone wants to impress me, defend the referees. At least that would show balls.

shovelheadt 71 Posted September 25, 2012 From what I've witnessed, Seattle so busy with chipiness and cheapshots that they're forgetting about the game going on. They're trying way too hard to prove how tough they are to Green Bay. I am not impressed with Wilson. He's my backup in one league and I'm not sure why. Fact. Said the same thing yesterday. It's become a mob mentality..let's see how much we can get away with.

IGotWorms 4,058 Posted September 25, 2012 So the NFL's two major primetime games (Sunday night and Monday night) were both marred by horrible officiating. If that doesn't spur that a-hole Rodger Goodell to do something, I don't know what will.
Big Blue 06 195 Posted September 25, 2012 I want them to win, but their passing game is just so bad. Not Brandon Wheeden bad, but pretty damned close.
GreenTD 56 Posted September 25, 2012 They'd have to do something worth defending. These calls are pure bushleague incompetence. This. I'm not a defense lawyer, it's not my job to defend someone simply because they're paying me. Play after play, game after game, they haven't shown any improvement in their decision-making or knowledge of the NFL rules. That's why it has compounded so badly. IGotWorms 4,058 Posted September 25, 2012 Seattle has a pretty good team. They just need a better QB (which they might already have) and some decent WRs (don't know what they can do about that at this point).
shovelheadt 71 Posted September 25, 2012 There is no defense of this mess. I'm not even listening to them. There is no defending this debacle. If you're not listening to them, then you obviously have no clue what he's referring to.
phillybear 366 Posted September 25, 2012 Seattle hasn't come back in a 4th quarter in years. Pass interference on Green Bay ignored right off the bat. Sidney Rice acrobat.

Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted September 25, 2012 GB deserves to lose with this setup. They're only rushing 3 so the midget is able to actually see his recievers.
IGotWorms 4,058 Posted September 25, 2012 Why did they take a bunch of low percentage shots at the end zone? Complete one over the middle of the field down around the 10, then go for the end zone.
nikki2200 4 Posted September 25, 2012 If you're not listening to them, then you obviously have no clue what he's referring to. He's obviously referring to "grandstanding" by the commentators criticizing these refs. And saying that the ballsy thing to do would be to defend them. And I'm saying there is absolutely nothing to defend and this is freaking awful. It's not that hard to understand. You are 100% correct. I have no "clue" why anyone would defend this mess. cbfalcon 825 Posted September 25, 2012 There is no defense of this mess. I'm not even listening to them. There is no defending this debacle. I don't want anyone to defend them. I'm just tired of the grandstanding. Everyone is upset about the situation. It's a given. Why every single announcer, writer, coach, ballboy, and mascot feels the need to call a press conference and publicly state that they also are unhappy with the referee situation is beyond me.
