NFL: 11 of 12 Pat's balls under inflated.

Recommended Posts

The whole world is still against the patriots, even though they're a squeaky clean organization and Belichick would never imagine bending the rules.

Hyperbole is your friend.

In other news, the jury has been seated in the former Patriot, Aaron Hernandez murder trial. Trial starts Thursday.

Prosecutors turned over 33 pages of text messages between Belichick and Hernandez from February 2013 to May 2013, the four months leading up to Lloyd's June 17 shooting.

I don't know how big they printed out those texts, but 33 pages seems like an awful lot for just four offseason months.

This trial is going to give us an unprecedented look behind the scenes at the Patriots. In addition to the texts, prosecutors also turned over investigators' interviews with Belichick, owner Robert Kraft, director of player personnel Nicholas Caserio, director of football Berj Najarian, and strength coach Moses Cabrera.

The Patriots have already agreed to hand over the team's medical records on Hernandez, but are fighting to keep secret nine pages of scouting reports and a psychological evaluation.

Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, and the team’s coach, Bill Belichick, may testify as prosecution witnesses in the upcoming murder trial of former Patriots player Aaron Hernandez, according to court documents.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if they get Bill on the stand, hand on the Bible, under oath to testify about the Hernandez murder and the Lawyer walks up and says "Okay before we get started, while you're here, DID YOU DEFLATE THOSE BALLS????"

Hey kids, do you guys remember when the Patriots cheated in the "snow plow" game in the early 80's? I remember they had a game winning field goal attempt in the snow, so the snow plow guy rode his machine out onto the field and cleared a spot to kick from. Good times. :argue:

Yeah, the Pats have long been a cheating franchise. But the snow plow game was under a different regime. This crew has enough on it's record without having to take the blame for past discrepancies.

That wasn't just some random snow plow guy. That was a convict out on work release for the day. Aaron Hernandez wishes he were that lucky.

You guys are focking hilarious. Impugn the integrity of our favorite team, suggest any titles they may have won are illegitimate, call our hall of fame QB a liar and a cheat...and then you wonder why we get a little pissed off about it

I'm not p!ssed off worms - I was just like them a while back... when I had irrational jealousy and hatred for the Yankees... so, I've been there and I feel bad for them.

If you would've asked me who I was pulling for in the SuperBowl a week ago today, I would have said the Patriots. I do not like the Seahawks. I think they are a bit dirty, the whole Marshawn Lynch crotch grabbing is tasteless, Richard Sherman gets on my nerves, and they are in the NFC and beat my Panthers in the Playoffs this year. Pus as a UNC fan, Russell Wilson used to torch my team when he was at NC State so while he is likable, I just can't. I do not like the Seahawks, and they just won it last year.

Some of us just like seeing Patriot Nation get all defensive, sqirmy and upset because we are picking on their beloved Brady or Belichick (who bring most of it on themselves). It's funny.

You should find a team to root for that isn't constantly cheating, or grow a pair and get used to them being called cheaters. Either way.

The Science Behind “Deflate-Gate”
The Pressure In AFC Championship Footballs Could Have Changed By 1.95 PSI From
Weather and Field Conditions
Pittsburgh, PA (January 23, 2015) -- HeadSmart™Labs, a Healy Ventures LLC company, today
announced findings from a study on football inflation levels in different climates. The study indicated
that the pressure in the footballs used in the AFC Championship game could have dropped 1.95 PSI
from weather and field conditions alone.
HeadSmart Labs set out to discover if weather during the AFC Championship Game on Sunday,
January 18 could have affected the inflation levels in the footballs. The Lab designed a study that would
simulate the external elements the game footballs were exposed to. The study encompasses the
timeframe from when referees would have initially tested the footballs prior to the start of the game, to
the time when the footballs were found to have a lower air pressure during halftime. Reports state that
when the game officials tested the New England Patriots’ footballs during halftime, 11 of the 12 were
found to have lost pressure of about 2 PSI.
“We took 12 brand new authentic NFL footballs and exposed them to the different elements they would
have experienced throughout the game.” said Thomas Healy, founder of HeadSmart Labs. “Out of the
twelve footballs we tested, we found that on average, footballs dropped 1.8 PSI when being exposed to
dropping temperatures and wet conditions.”
During testing, twelve brand new footballs were inflated to 12.5 PSI in a 75 degree Fahrenheit room.
This was to imitate the indoor conditions where the referees would have tested the footballs 2 hours
and 15 minutes before kickoff. The footballs were then moved to a 50 degree Fahrenheit environment
to simulate the temperatures that were experienced throughout the game. In addition, the footballs
were dampened to replicate the rainy conditions.
HeadSmart Labs found that on average the footballs dropped 1.1 PSI from the 25 degree temperature
change alone. The Lab also found that when the leather was wet, the ball dropped an additional 0.7
PSI. In combination, it was found that on average the footballs lost 1.8 PSI with a max of 1.95 PSI from
exposure to game day elements.

So, how did the colts balls stay inflated ? Were they warming them or re-inflating them ?

Seems as though the wrong team is being targeted in this investigation.....how ironic.

Doesn't matter, Pats killed them regardless of their cheating. :first:

Your favorite team has no integrity. The Pats have won three Super Bowls by a COMBINED total of 9 points. And then it came out that they had been cheating. No one is "suggesting" that your titles are illegitimate. They're stating the fact that they are illegitimate. And your hall of fame quarterback IS a liar and a cheater. Those are the reasons your should be a little pissed off. Not that everyone else recognizes the obvious.

Newbie - you're a nice guy, a creative guy - I respect and appreciate that about you.

But math, science, and logic have never been your strong points - you live your life based on emotion and feel; as a result you are easily influenced by the masses and confused by fact vs fiction - example: Rocky did not in FACT win the belt, he was FICTIONAL.

This high level of emotion makes you very loyal and empathetic but also leads to rash and illogical decision making.

Keep cheering for those Eagles - they need guys like you. But leave any strategy, litigation, or calculations to someone else.

OMG!! Rocky. That's hilarious. And super original! You should have mentioned McNabb puking. Missed opportunity.

And maybe the fact that the Eagles haven't won a Super Bowl will change the fact that the Pats have cheated once again. And their reputation as a sleezy organization just keeps getting stronger. :music_guitarred:

Ruh-Roh, Did they find the Fall Guy?

http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/deflategate-fallout-nfl-focusing-on-patriots-locker-room-attendant-012615

FOX Sports has learned that the NFL has zeroed in on a New England Patriots locker-room attendant in connection with the scandal of improperly inflated footballs used in the AFC championship game against Indianapolis.

The person of interest was already interviewed by the league. The NFL is trying to determine whether any wrongdoing by this individual occurred, sources tell FOX Sports.

There is surveillance video showing the attendant taking the footballs from the official's locker room into another room at Gillette Stadium before bringing them out to the field, sources tell FOX Sports.

So Drobs found someone to say psi drops 1.9 lbs if the temp from checking to playing goes from 70 degrees to 51 degrees.

The GB Dallas game was played at 20 degrees. Those footballs should have looked like frisbees.

The NFL has zeroed in on a New England Patriots locker room attendant who allegedly took the AFC Championship Game balls from the officials' locker room to another area on the way to the field, Fox Sports reported, citing sources.

According to Fox Sports, the league has interviewed him and has video. The league is still gauging if any wrongdoing occurred, but he is a strong person of interest, according to the report.

Brady and Belicheck will still claim that the locker room attendant acted alone and they have no idea why he let the air out.

Probably some good will hunting type brain who did the calculations (that BB taught him) pregame and knew it was way, way too cold (read normal late fall weather) for those balls to stay properly inflated. So he went rogue in trying to keep those balls inflated. But the media will spin this and automatically assume something nefarious was going on.

In those early season games in Phoenix where the balls are checked at 70 degrees and then played with in 105 degrees, why don't the footballs look like brown basketballs?

I guess science only goes one direction, and changes depending on which side of the field you are on.
