Unless you knew that and you admit that you're a troll no better than RP? If so I'm glad to see that you've taken the first step towards recovery

I think there are a lot of reasons why people don't like the Pats, but mostly it's because of drobeski. And the cheating. :dunno:

No matter the outcome from the investigation, the end result is going to be that all of the Patriots accomplishments will be forever tainted, and there is nothing that can be done about that. Ask Barry Bonds, Sosa, McGuire, Clemens ect ect. They will forever be the tarnished dynasty, never to spoken of with the same reverence as other football dynasties.

I could not have given less of a shiit until tonight. But then again, I knew it was coming.

A 35K give or take staffer will take the hit for having balls exactly like the senior crew/staff wanted it.

Months later, he'll be working at a great plumbing/car dealership job.

Pats would have been better off not hanging out the guy to dry.

It would be helpful to know the PSI of every Patriot football before the game that passed inspection and for every football at halftime. Same goes for the COLTS footballs. Ridiculous all of this trying to interpret short sentences from the media. Until I get some solid numbers, I can't reach any kind of conclusion, and want to ignore this as it's really annoying. Would be really great if anyone, anywhere, could talk about matchups, keys to the game, etc. about the game of football, you know the reason anyone should care really. Same with the overanalyzation of officiating that goes on every focking week. I miss enjoying the game. It's like a focking soap opera where all fans seem to care about is mocking other fans, whining about the refs, or going completely off the deep end about this. Who focking cares what the ball is inflated to or deflated to. It passed inspection. And why is there even a rule about the psi? So stupid. Who cares if a team prefers a ball with much less air or much greater air. :wall:

I agree with this sentiment in that I don't care if a football is doctored. Go ahead.

All I would say is teams that prefer a ball with less air aren't allowed that choice, somebody decided they must use balls with such and such requirements and so they must use the ones in the rules. If all teams were allowed to doctor footballs, that would be another story. It use to be that way, it was changed for a reason, which I'm not sure what that was.

I think we know a few things so far, some of it still speculation:

1) Former players/coaches and some current ones have a general quorum that they prefer to have the balls feel a certain way, it helps them play. The NFL apparently allows for them to scuff and otherwise manage the feel to their preference, no issues with this.

2) The NFL does govern the PSI, for what ever reason, and mandates a specific setting.

3) A member of the Patriots staff manipulated the balls after the ref's verified them, to a setting outside of the allowable range.

So if we can agree that QB's do have a certain preference for the ball's condition then do we think that this equipment manager just went off on his own and tweaked the balls to his own specific preference, or to one relayed to him by those using those balls?

I think the Pat's still have a good position to maintain plausible deniability, and can still get away with this, a minor slap on the wrist. I doubt the NFL can compel this guy to turn on the Pat's, they would have to offer him money or some position at the NFL, and then one could assert that they bought a false confession. In the end the guy takes the fall for the team, they help him out on the back end with Kraft maybe getting him a job with a business associate that sets him up well for life.

If the pressure in the balls were not important, I do not see why they created a rule to govern it. I think the Bellichick's ego is getting the better of him again, and these slip ups are just that ego at work. Without video or audio evidence, they can deny and deny and know that they won't get caught, but at what cost?

The guy took the balls into the bathroom, so the Patriots were playing with urine-balls? I'd rather they'd cheated.

Once you take the balls into the bathroom, you have to buy them right?

when its all said and done, all the players in the scheme are exposed, the league will have egg on its face, and Harbaugh will lose any and all respect amongst his peers.

It will be a good lesson for the success envy manufactured outrage crowd.

Maybe society can actually learn something from this.

So you guys going to draft a public letter of apology to Bob Kraft?

Dear Bob, I am so sorry that your team feels it has to cheat to win, when realistically it does not, you might want to talk to them about that.

The Patriots (Kraft, Bill, Brady) have essentially pushed all their chips in the middle. They've call all-in, calling what they think is the NFL's bluff raise.

Either two things happen.

1. The NFL hasn't been bluffing, and the reason they made this public from the get-go and the reason it's still going on and the reason they are conducting all these interveiws and making a big deal about is because they have something incriminating and are just dotting i's and crossing t's. If that is the case the Patriots (Kraft, Bill, Brady) will be called out hardcore as they went 'all-in'.

2. The NFL is foolish. They don't have anything, went public when they shouldn't have creating a public relations firestorm and end up with egg on their face. If that happens they should issue an apology. The NFL should issue the apology though. The media and the public just go by what the NFL is doing and saying.

Exactly how long do you think it takes to stick a needle in a football and let out some air?

I just conducted my own scientific experiment and it only took me 5 seconds to put a needle in a football and let out 2psi. He had 8 seconds per ball, and he is a professional.

He has apparently been doing this for several games this year. Practice makes perfect, Drobs.

I rest my case, your Honor.

Why do you come across as a relatively normal, rational person when posting about football, yet so utterly clueless and juvenile in your posts about your misadventures with match.com chicks?
