Books, most likely. Got about five hundred pounds of 'em (know that from our most recent move).

I laugh at your 500 lbs. At least 1500

Why does anyone need 26 fishing rods, if I did my math correctly? Also this and the 7 gaming consoles doesn't seem consistent with the frugal lifestyle leading to millions of dollars in retirement you described in the other thread. :dunno:

But the timeline should be considered in both fishing rods and gaming consoles. I have been big into fishing for at least 15 years, all i would need to do is purchase 2.5 fishing rods a year with 1 broken rod every other year. That is hardly a large expense.

As far as video game consoles, how often do consoles really come out. Four of the consoles I listed are at least a decade old, the SNES is 20 years old.

I also have a good reason for owning all the rods, usually I supply all the gear whether that is trout fishing in the rockies or offshore fishing for sharks, cobia, and kings.

Well, a few things. One, you said "quality," which implies not cheap. Two, the question was "own," which would imply you don't own broken rods since they are trash. Three, why would someone need to own 6 different lightweight freshwater rods, or 6 different midweight saltwater rods, or... seriously, if you go freshwater fishing, is there a difference in the 6 rods which leads you to pick a specific one? :dunno:

Some people are calling it the next poker! It's been around 22 years and is only gaining in popularity. Got my first cards in '97, but never really played beyond my circle of friends and local events. I've sold my collection on two occasions, so what I have now is mostly new stuff. You get a nice $40k for winning the Pro Tour. :dunno:

There are the couple freshwater rods I keep at my parents house to reduce transportation.

As for saltwater gear this has been purchased recently, but two weekends ago I took a couple Canadian coworkers fishing and had to supply all the gear. Also my parents visit a couple times a year and I am supplying gear to both them and my wife.

I can confidently say my fishing gear is much more likely to break from overuse than go unused.

Always loved it, but never could find a group. I sure thought the internet would change that but there isn't much that I'm aware of in terms of dedicated websites or programs.

D&D Players are some of the most creative types you will find - the lucky ones that get to keep their imaginations.
