svtballa 8 Posted July 30, 2015 He's had 2 very productive seasons as the #2. He's now the clear #1 and we all know what cutler does to his teams #1. I'm targeting him in all my drafts
Frozenbeernuts 1,663 Posted July 30, 2015 I like him a lot, as long as cutler isnt benched
weepaws 2,755 Posted July 30, 2015 Yea no question if Cutler playes Jeffery will have a very good season.

tanatastic 2,061 Posted July 30, 2015 Don't see why he can't have a big year. I'm not high on him but the upside is there.

NEWPOSTERGUY! 270 Posted July 30, 2015 With Fox not liking rookies and with the news of him being on the PUP list right now I see Alshon getting a ton of targets.  - Steady Eddie Royal, late ... along with Stevie Johnson  both could be reliable wr 3 options, especially early on, given their respective teams circumstances right out the gate.   back on topic .. yeah, i dig Jeffrey this year, buying where i can
Squintz82 45 Posted July 30, 2015 I want to be all in, since he's likely going to be falling to me at 2.12. But I'm a bit uneasy seeing how he did drawing top coverage without Marshall weeks' 13-17 last season.
Flgatorguy87 160 Posted July 30, 2015 I expect I will own him as my WR1 at the 2.09 pick. At least I am hoping...after him is a drop down and I'll prob be taking Cobb who I'd prefer as a high end WR2.

R8RMick 242 Posted July 30, 2015 Just wondering what kind of drop off he may have with Trestman gone.

NEWPOSTERGUY! 270 Posted July 30, 2015 Just wondering what kind of drop off he may have with Trestman gone. I think Forte takes the big hit ... and his lost targets will now be directed downfield more, to Jeffrey's benefit, one would hope -

You are correct...but Hopkins and Evans will be kept in my league and I want no part of Hilton this year as a WR1 on my team. I'm really banking on Alshon as my plan A with Cobb as plan B. Mr Neil 63 Posted July 31, 2015 I think Alshon will have a solid year. He is a big WR and will be playing the Demaryius role in the new Adam Gase offense. The only thing not to love is the probability of Cutler being benched. That's his only downside
Ray_T 679 Posted July 31, 2015 I think Forte takes the big hit ... and his lost targets will now be directed downfield more, to Jeffrey's benefit, one would hope - I think Forte still gets lots of Targets. Eddie Royal is not gonna take all the throws that were directed at Marshall. Â The offense wont be as good, so the pie will be a bit smaller. But I think Forte will stay pretty much the same. (maybe a small drop in catches) Â I also think that Alshon has not been the #2 for the last 2 years. he was the #1 guy and proved he could carry the burden when Marshall was out. This is a no brainer.

tanatastic 2,061 Posted August 2, 2015 I'd take Mike Evans over Ashlon, if available. Agreed, I just posted about Evans in the target thread. He has top 5 upside and we have already seen his floor with those bums at qb last year.
football is life 0 Posted August 2, 2015 I like Alshon... A LOT. Ever since Brandon Marshall taught him how to condition and train in the offseason, he has been a stud. Now that Marshall is gone, Alshon is THE man.
Kent 228 Posted August 2, 2015 I'd take Mike Evans over Ashlon, if available. Winston scares me since it's his rookie year. I'd go Alshon due to this.
southcarolina 166 Posted August 3, 2015 I remember when Alshon was fat and Spurrier WRs never amounted t anything in the NFL. Â Â Â Good times.
giraldi02 473 Posted August 3, 2015 How is Alshon absolved from the "horrible quarterback" drivel that is coated on AJ Green?
weepaws 2,755 Posted August 3, 2015 There is not a chance I would be drafting Evans over Jeffery . I can see the sophomore jinx coming for a second yr wr playing with a rookie qb . I'm taking the Cutler Jeffery combo .
tanatastic 2,061 Posted August 3, 2015 How is Alshon absolved from the "horrible quarterback" drivel that is coated on AJ Green? Neither deserve that rap and people have short term memory. All they see is the Dalton who didn't play great after having a monster season the year before. That's the same Dalton who has already led AJ to multiple 1350 11 seasons and has the most loaded offense he's been on yet. Cutler and Dalton are kind of bad qbs that can still put up big stats. People confuse them with bad qbs like Hoyer and (insert Texans qb here) who tank their entire offense.
stonewall 647 Posted August 3, 2015 Winston scares me since it's his rookie year. I'd go Alshon due to this. Â I'm hoping that this is the prevailing sentiment among drafters. Last year Evans proved that all you have to do is chuck the ball up and he is coming down with it.....often in the end zone. Even if Winston struggles (and he will), he can still air out a ball. TB's run game is dismal, so there is gonna be some passing. Â Ashlon is very good, no doubt.....but Evans, I believe can be "special".

ralphster 274 Posted August 3, 2015 For this next year I think Alshon outperforms Evans. For the next 3 seasons I think Evans out performs Alshon. Unless the Bears don't resign him and he goes to a legit powered offense. Like ATL.

Hawkeye21 2,089 Posted August 3, 2015 Alshon hurt his shoulder in practice. Sounded like a strain but Coach Fox said it's nothing they're concerned about.

I don't know if Winston prefers the VJax position to throw to. What if he struggles with the Evans route tree more. Or if he goes TE happy. Last year we saw it was Evans all day. That's gone with that QB departure. We have a known commodity with Cutler and Alshon. It's a small tie breaker for me if I have to choose. That's all.
