IGotWorms 4,063 Posted December 14, 2015 http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/14/politics/donald-trump-medical-bill-health/index.html Washington (CNN)Donald Trump on Monday released a letter from his physician stating that the 69-year-old Republican presidential candidate's latest medical examination "showed only positive results." Trump's physician of 25 years, Dr. Harold Bornstein, said Trump "has had no significant medical problems" and called the candidate's blood pressure and lab results "astonishingly excellent" in a signed statement Trump released publicly on Monday. "If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency," Bornstein, an internal medicine and gastroenterology specialist who works at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, wrote in the letter dated December 4. Bornstein is not believed to have evaluated any past presidents.

Cloaca du jour 2,171 Posted December 14, 2015 A good way to judge people is by how their children turn out. When it comes to trump, his sons and daughter are impressive intelligent kids. Have any of you seen them speak in the public eye? His children show me more about Trump than his media facade. He is totally working the system and enlightening people to how ridiculous politics is. I would love to see what a business man would do when it comes to running our country. I say give him a shot...if he is bad, impeach. Im just tired of lawyer after lawyer trying to run the country.

Mike Honcho 5,580 Posted December 14, 2015 Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder in which a person is excessively preoccupied with personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity, mentally unable to see the destructive damage they are causing to themselves and others. It is a cluster B personality disorder.[1] It is estimated that this condition affects one percent of the population, with rates greater for men. First formulated in 1968, NPD was historically called megalomania, and is a form of severe egocentrism.[2] People with narcissistic personality disorder are characterized by exaggerated feelings of self-importance. They have a sense of entitlement and demonstrate grandiosity in their beliefs and behavior. They have a strong need for admiration, but lack feelings of empathy.[3] DSM-5 Edit Symptoms of this disorder, as defined by the DSM-5, include:[4] A. Significant impairments in personality functioning manifested by: 1. Impairments in self functioning (a or : a. Identity: Excessive reference to others for self-definition and self-esteem regulation; exaggerated self-appraisal may be inflated or deflated, or vacillate between extremes; emotional regulation mirrors fluctuations in self-esteem. b. Self-direction: Goal-setting is based on gaining approval from others; personal standards are unreasonably high in order to see oneself as exceptional, or too low based on a sense of entitlement; often unaware of own motivations. AND 2. Impairments in interpersonal functioning (a or : a. Empathy: Impaired ability to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others; excessively attuned to reactions of others, but only if perceived as relevant to self; over- or underestimate of own effect on others. b. Intimacy: Relationships largely superficial and exist to serve self-esteem regulation; mutuality constrained by little genuine interest in others' experiences and predominance of a need for personal gain B. Pathological personality traits in the following domain: Antagonism, characterized by: a. Grandiosity: Feelings of entitlement, either overt or covert; self-centeredness; firmly holding to the belief that one is better than others; condescending toward others. b. Attention seeking: Excessive attempts to attract and be the focus of the attention of others; admiration seeking.

His daughter is pretty impressive, the one of his sons I've seen is a yambag. I'm calling that a wash. Impeachment is a legal process. You can't just impeach someone because they're "bad". They have to violate law or formal policy.

IGotWorms 4,063 Posted December 14, 2015 Yeah impeachment is a dumb thing to rely on. No president has ever been fully impeached - even Nixon resigned before he could actually be impeached

KSB2424 3,175 Posted December 15, 2015 Two thinigs are colliding this election cycle that are making me want to vomit and they are feeding off one another creating this mess. Donald Trump and Today's Media. 1. Donald Trump is not fit to be President, he is a reality TV star. I don't even think he's actually a republican. He just plays one on TV. He is a master at fooling people, playing to their emotions and getting public attention. 2. The media are eating him up. The media looks for people like him and talk about him non-stop. Trump this, Trump that, Trump everything...all day....every day. He doesn't have to spend a dime on campaigning because CNN and all the rest does it for him. Today's media is what yesterdays National Enquirer and TMZ used to be. It's 90% soap opera and 10% substance. And these two forces are feeding off one another in some symboitic relationship pumping each other up. Ratings are up, Trumps poll numbers are rising. Why? because they are feeeding each other. Meanwhile, it's the craziest thing I've ever seen in politics. I am disgusted. The fringes have won and I weep.
IGotWorms 4,063 Posted December 15, 2015 Clinton was impeached Acquitted by the senate and not removed from office. Same as Andrew Johnson. So no, it didn't "work" in those guys' cases and it's a dumb thing to rely on as a hedge against a stupid vote

tikigods 77 Posted December 19, 2015 I went and saw Trump the other day. He is very entertaining and definitely comes across (in person) as a guy you could sit, drink beer, and watch football with. I now understand the appeal. On another note, I honestly felt like I was witnessing history. History as in 1936 Germany history. The crowd was made up of very, very, angry white people. I wish I had recorded someone of the comments people made about how Trump was going to "get rid" of handicapped people. Hysterical but also a little frightening. I'm definitely voting for him in the NH Primary.
RLLD 4,283 Posted December 19, 2015 It is amazing that the guy seems to just keep going. You can hear the amazement and frustration in the voices of the talking heads on the news networks too. Quickolas1 80 Posted December 19, 2015 If you want more jihadists running around the world, then support a candidate who says ban all Muslims. If Trump were to actually get the nomination, voter turnout would shoot through the roof like in 2008. And we know how that turns out for Republican candidates.

You've got party establishment guys like Karl Rove and D1ch Cheney coming out of the woodwork to take shots at him. They are terrified of what a Trump candidacy would mean for the GOP. And rightfully so.
