kilroy69 995 Posted January 30, 2017 I know some of you knew this already of course. However it is increasingly becoming hard for me to find a pair of shoes that really fits him. Even with buying wide shoes. I posted on my linkedin account asking for help in locating a place that does this and was hooked up with a place called the geek group in Grand Rapids Michigan. They are going to scan his foot and create a pair of personalized 3d printed shoes for him. Pretty focking sweet if you ask me.

kilroy69 995 Posted January 30, 2017 Why didn't they take it off at birth? That happens all the time but most hospitals remove the extra appendage. When it comes to toes they are typically just skin tags. The hospital ties a string around it and it just falls off. His is fully attached to the bone in his foot. If he were to have it removed he would have to have another 3-4 surgeries as he grows because it WILL continue to grow even if its removed. We decided to keep it and if he wants to take it off when he gets older he can make that decision for himself.
