Cloaca du jour 2,072 Posted May 1, 2017 American Gods would be a good pick to start with. We can read and chat about the book. Might even raise the bar around this joint with something besides trump bashing. Just my .02 I know a place that has digital copies <wink>

Unlikely... Democrats can't read (or read things with big words in them) so they will continue to bash the President...

peenie 1,699 Posted May 1, 2017 Suggestions from the NY Times Best Sellers List: Fiction #2 The Black Book by James Patterson and David Ellis. 4 weeks on the list. After a raid on a brothel that serviced Chicago's elite, the madam's black book has disappeared. #6 Norse Mythology By Neil Gaiman, 11 weeks on the list. A retelling of Norse folklore. #10 A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles, 23 weeks on the list. A Russian count undergoes 30 years of house arrest. That Grisham novel sounds interesting (according to Amazon), I'd read it.

That Norse mythology is it like a story being told that incorporates the mythology or is it a retelling of thof myrhologies?

NorthernVike 2,080 Posted May 2, 2017 It's got to be something that's out on video or no one will ever finish the book on time. HTH

giraldi02 470 Posted May 2, 2017 I thought I was the only one here that read a book, or at least reads on a regular basis. I remember when I suggested you took bags read the Martian it was met with either crickets or know your audience. The Martian was a phenomenal read. The one thing I wish the movie had done was the storm at the end however. I understand gutting a lot of the science and tinkering time that Watney had to do, but the adrenaline rush of him trying to get to Ares 4 while knowing that storm was coming was a pretty big omission.
