Arby's restaurant owner to buy Buffalo Wild Wings for $2.4 billion

Recommended Posts

Sure. But I guess I am not familiar with them enough to know about these awesome sauces? What sauce? I like a hot garlic sauce, and that is easy to do myself.

Fvck me, you just put out the bier miester thirty ingredient hour to make sauces signal

I like BW3. :dunno:

When ours first opened some years ago our FF league decided to meet there for one of the first Thursday Night Football games ever. The place wasn't very busy at all and there were eight of us so the manager came up to thank us and ask what the occasion was.I spoke up and said that we were there for TNF and I swear he got a puzzled look on his face and replied,"there's no TNF."

You can certainly make any of them but the convenience is where I'm at. I can't make them any better than they do. My family likes the Garlic Parmesan , Spicy Garlic , Caribbean Jerk and the Mango Habanero. Couple hours in the smoker, couple of minutes on the grill toss and eat. Have them once a month at the lake. Dammit, now I'm hungry for wings.

I don't think they have Pappas outside of Texas, which I think they're all overrated. Except pappas burgers and their steakhouse, rest of them can suck my cockapoo

Original carrabbas off 59 & Kirby makes a difference.

If I had your man cave I'd never go elsewhere. Of course I'd have to redecorate it with some decent colors. :D

Good call. Decent food. Love their bread.

Call me crazy but my favorite chain is Texas Whorehouse.

Peanuts, and bread, yum yum

Their veggies are terrible, they soak them in butter. steak and ribs are typically good

Not terrible, but I think Longhorn is a little better.

Hey now I've got every NFL team represented in it.

As for going out,the man cave is great for Sundays with multiple games and my annual Super Bowl party but I enjoy going to the bars for MNF and TNF.

is there a good big chain restaurant?

99 sucks too

Unos is okay, the pizza sucks

When I was spending a ton of time in CT, I liked the local 99. There are none in Michigan. Thought their food was decent and they always had Jim Beam on special for their happy hour.

But yeah I get it. Not sure about Caribbean jerk or mango habanero. I was thinking more traditional Hot, BBQ, Honey Mustard of some sort.

I feel I could make a better hot than them at least for my liking anyway. Since I would add directly some of my favorite hot sauces.

Would like to hear Bier's lecture on sauces. For a hot garlic I just do butter, honey, garlic, hot sauce of my choice. Maybe dice a jalapeno or habanero finely and mix in if you are feeling froggy. Small sauce pan simmer. Then I like to throw the wings into warm sauce. So it works pretty easy throwing them in the warm pot, putting a lid on them and tossing them around.

$2.4 billion? WTF? Seems like a dying chain to me but obviously smarter people than I disagree

Just flashscan the article, but I got the impression that a huge portion of that number was Assumption of debt.

If so, could be a fairly smart move. You come in, renegotiate the debt or threaten bankruptcy to do so.

Suddenly, you have dropped relatively little actual cash and have at a minimum a pretty significant footprint throughout the nation.

He or they may have little interest in continuing the franchise, or they may want to give it a last shot, but everything that I've just described above is a classic page out of the 80s.

I was in Ohio 20 years ago when BW3's was the s***. Most people don't know what the third W stands for.

Mmmmmm.... haven't had beef on weck in forever.

Yeah, it's pretty nice in that area. Better than Danbury for sure.

2.4B is paying 157/share to investors to take it private... Total deal valued at 2.9B. So its 500M of debt, doesnt say how they structured the rest of it, but the assumable debt seems like a small piece.

I really wanted to like BWW... Seemed like they got everything right but the food...which is a problem. I got boneless wings and they weren't very good.

15-18 years ago, used to love hanging out at Dubz for ball games, 23 oz $1.75 Amberbocks or $1.75 Busch Lights depending on the night, college buddies. Could take my broke a$$ (I was YOUNG!!) in there eat and get drunk and have a great time.. That place doesn't exist any more...

Went a few months ago with the kids, 2 beers and food for 4 (wife and the kids).. $80 with tip, food simply doesn't justify the cost.

Went to Arby's recently for the first time in years, wanted a Jamocha Shake, the best shake on the planet, an extra large that was actually in the extra large soda cup, that was awesome. Instead for the large I got a 16 oz Jamocha shake with a bubble top filled with whipped cream and a cherry

WTF Arby's became dead to me

Yeah, 80 bucks for these fast food joints with taps is just not worth it. Better off at the local pizza joint.

Originally called Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck, from which the abbreviation bw-3 was created (the third W was for the beef on weck sandwich, a staple of the Buffalo region), in 1990 Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck began to franchise. In 1998, the name was changed to Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar.

In my neck of the woods, it was always abbreviated to Dubz. Going back almost 20 years.

The kids around here call it B-Dubz. My kids love it. I can take it or leave it, but it's definitely over-priced.

I'm a fan of Olive Garden ONLY because of their Pasta Fijoli soup,it's basically an Italian chili that is incredible

:pointstosky:

Haven't been in years, but I have good memories of Olive Garden. Clean restaurant, cheap food, and scrumptious bread-sticks.
