jgcrawfish 232 Posted November 21, 2018 I play in a 12x2 league where rosters lock the first week of the playoffs. Playoffs start a week earlier because there are possibly 4 weeks of them and I was looking for good defensive match-ups. I can't help but notice the schedules of Green Bay and Detroit. DST WK 13 WK 14 WK 15 WK 16 DET LAR @ARI @BUF MIN GB ARI ATL @CHI @NYJ While I'm not big on the slate of away games, that's potentially a pretty juicy combo there. stonewall 647 Posted November 21, 2018 Have the broncos owned in every league I am looking good for the playoffs. After this weeks game against the Steelers, which is no bueno, they have: Week 13 - @Cinci Week 14 - @SF Week 15 - Browns Week16 - @Raiders Hard to beat that..... weepaws 2,809 Posted November 21, 2018 Yeah real hard to beat that Broncos schedule after the Steelers wow. I like the Packers more then the Lions.
BobSanders_33 127 Posted November 21, 2018 I've been streaming other d's while sitting Denver. I know it seems crazy carrying 2 defenses but Denver has an amazing schedule and having a monster d performance can change a game.
rrmcguire 36 Posted November 21, 2018 You like Denver more than Buffalo? I have the bears but am nervous about them in weeks 14 and 15 where Buffalo gets NYJ and Detroit at home
weepaws 2,809 Posted November 21, 2018 This week the Bills. But after this week Broncos.
rrmcguire 36 Posted November 21, 2018 Gonna hold Buffalo this week then try and grab Denver next week
jgcrawfish 232 Posted November 22, 2018 Denver is gone all the leagues I play in, so i was looking at alternatives. I also play in a league where rosters lock for the playoffs, so having 2 defenses is actually advantageous.
SpenceToons 70 Posted November 22, 2018 It would come as no surprise that I've been content to roll with the Bears defense so far but they do face the Rams in wk 14. I've penciled in 4 matchups that I might be interested in as alternatives for that week and one of them was Denver's. Pittsburgh vs Oakland was another but now the Steelers are taken. But first I've gotta have Matt Bryant cover Zeurlein's bye. Once that's accomplished, i'll go shopping for a wk 14 defense with Bryant as ready cash. (Yeah, the Bears face the Packers in wk15 but as they notched good FP production in the first matchup with GB, I'm gonna "stick with who got me to the dance." for wk 15.) SexyRexy 60 Posted November 28, 2018 Denver is available in my league. Should I drop NE for them? I also own HOU. I like to carry 2 defenses in the playoffs.

SexyRexy 60 Posted November 28, 2018 Yes swap Denver for Pats I actually have an open bench spot so I am just going to add Broncos. And hold all 3. I am also making a bid for Justin Jackson dropping McGuire. If an add/drop appears that I feel I should make I'll drop Pats. But at this point headed into playoffs it will take an injury (i have depth all around) or a dumb drop. Both are unlikely, I think.
Phil Simms 11 133 Posted November 28, 2018 Yeah, Ill hold 2-3 defenses now. No need for multiple bench WR or RB you wont use. I do check my main opponents to make sure they wont benefit from the player I chuck.

SpenceToons 70 Posted November 28, 2018 Some other fair matchups Week 14 Saints@TB This is who I picked up to cover for my Bears' wk 14 date with the Rams. The NO DEF has had good production over their past 5 games (15, -2, 9, 13, 15). That -2 outlier was against these same Rams.
cyclone24 1,910 Posted November 28, 2018 Man...im in a bind because I had to roster certain players the last few weeks to eek into the playoffs. Can you really trust detroit in the playoffs? Or the saints on the road against a potent TB offense? (Id also be starting Mike Evans against my own defense there) Have the Bears. Looking at carolina vs Cleveland Maybe even arizona vs detroit. Garbage.
SpenceToons 70 Posted November 28, 2018 Can you really trust ..... the saints on the road against a potent TB offense? Have the Bears. I do carry some misgivings about my choice of the Saints for that very reason. But just as TB has its potent side, they also have their putrid side; and I have my fingers crossed that the clock for Winston taking his turn to turn into a pumpkin will once again be striking midnight in week 14. Edit: It should be noted that TB is currently ranked the 3rd most generous to opposing defenses.

jgcrawfish 232 Posted December 1, 2018 League A: have Houston but was not big on their schedule. That feeling has changed a bit with Philly faltering the only real minus matchup is Indy. But I also snagged Denver off waivers just to hold onto. League B: On bye this week but have the Chargers. Not thrilled at all. Can use them next week against the Bengals, but after that I have to find something else. Saints are out there, but I don't like the matchups. Best looking Def is the Jags who get the skins and fins in 15-16.
TennisMenace 156 Posted December 1, 2018 Anyone like the Saints? They dont have ideal matchups but have been strong lately. I like them. Not enough to cut another player to try to pick them up Wednesday but enough to admire them.
SpenceToons 70 Posted December 1, 2018 Speaking of the Saints, I was afraid to look at the numbers after seeing the start of the Cowboys-Saints game; but when all was said and done, they turned in another 15 point performance. Those 7 sacks sure helped. I do wish that the Saints were a little stronger in the interception column for when they face off against Winston and the Bucs in week 14. Fireballer 2,556 Posted December 2, 2018 Ive got Rams Pats and Titans. Im rolling with Titans vs Jax week 14 Rams vs Iggles Week 15 Pats vs Bills Week 16 All home games. I dont like road Ds if I can help it
Smileseers 54 Posted December 2, 2018 Rolling with the Broncos and Vikings. Keeping two defenses to avoid playing against either weeks 14-16.

Frozenbeernuts 1,701 Posted December 4, 2018 The Seahawks get the Niners for our first round of the playoffs. The Pats get the Bills in the championship game. That's who I am rolling with. This week is the final week of the season, so as long as my team doesn't score 87 points less than the 2nd highest team, I'm good
jgcrawfish 232 Posted December 4, 2018 I had the Texans and grabbed the Broncos in the work league. Texans schedule doesn't scare me as much after what Jacksonville just did to Indy, but man that Denver schedule is silky smooth. other league I had the Chargers, who have the Bengals this weekend, but I didn't trust them at all versus Chiefs next weekend. Was able to grab the Jags who looked much better against a good offense last week and have nice schedule next week and championship week vs Skins and Phins. Rosters lock in this league so I had to make a move.

Rosters lock in this league so I had to make a move. Chris Harris being out for the season is a negative for the Broncos. I picked them up in 2 leagues for their nice schedule. Options are limited in free agency so may just need to roll with them. I dropped the Chargers in 1 league as I was in track to get a bye and their week 15/16 isnt as easy. Naturally I missed out on a bye due to Keenan Allens lucky TD catch and I really wish I still had their D for week 14. Broncos it is. I also grabbed Tenn in 2 leagues. Jax/NYG/Wash is looking pretty tasty.
Phil Simms 11 133 Posted December 5, 2018 Ive got a Bye, will play SEA at SF next week. Just played them this past week against SF. Holding TEN for week 16 game against WAS ( Sanchise), but may drop them for Cleveland vs Cin (Driskell) or Dal vs TB (Winston). Wish TEN was trending better the last couple weeks. It may not get sweeter than that.
AintNoStoppinMeNow 68 Posted December 5, 2018 I love the Titans W16 matchup vs Sanchez and the crumbline line. I'm not so sure about their W15 matchup with the Giants who have been looking much better. Speaking of looking better, the Bills are not the easy stream against team they were thought to be earlier with Josh Allen back. I originally was planning on rolling out Detroit W15 but don't think I can chance the Lions anymore vs dual threat Josh Allen. Currently own the Chargers who are a very good defense but don't have the best schedule W15 vs Chargers and W16 vs Ravens.
RepoPatrol 14 Posted December 5, 2018 Anyone like the Saints? They dont have ideal matchups but have been strong lately. I like the Saints. I think this is a low scoring game relative to expectations.17 mph winds and light rain are in the forecast. Next TB gets Bal and Dal, the #1 AND #2 pass defenses, on the road in weeks 15,16. I think TB is a team to completely avoid in the fantasy playoffs. Meanwhie every fantasy website is calling for picking up Godwin and whatshisname. Relax, don't do it... I’m benching my Rams, second highest scoring defense, because they are playing Bears in Chicago with Trubisky supposedly back.
SpenceToons 70 Posted December 10, 2018 Week 14 performance: CHI DEF 20 NO DEF 9 It had occurred to me that the Rams offense might not turn out to be so fearsome in the Chicago cold, and I'd noted that Winston wasn't throwing the interceptions that he had been earlier in the year. And the CHI DEF had shown in week 2 that they could face Rodgers & co and still put FF points on the board. But once i had pulled NO off the wire, I wasn't able to keep from feeling committed to using them.
