Frozenbeernuts 2,266 Posted January 6, 2019 Wrong. Nope, I'm right. Only people who are massive mouth breathers with small penls' use pre SB Era championships as any bearing of success with their team. Fact.
sderk 1,040 Posted January 6, 2019 Nope, I'm right. Only people who are massive mouth breathers with small penls' use pre SB Era championships as any bearing of success with their team. Fact. But what's the difference really? A team's history is a team's history. I'm a huge Blackhawks and Cubs fan. Their semi-recent titles are as meaningful as any Jets or whoever's victory in the 60's. History is just that. History.

Their semi-recent titles are as meaningful as any Jets or whoever's victory in the 60's. History is just that. History. If we are talking purely history for nastalgic reasons or debates about the past, sure. When someone claims that a championship won in the 40s has any bearing on a current team, it takes a special kind of nitwit to try to make that case. The Bears have the 2nd most championships of any team in NFL history. Only one is a SB, which is pretty damn pathetic. I'm not going to try to tell people that championships by the Bears before any of us were born have any relevance to modern Bears accomplishments or prestige

I never tell a Cowboys fan the Giants have more titles. It's stupid. But they do have more than them in the last 40 years.

iam90sbaby 2,611 Posted January 7, 2019 Even though it isn't politically related it is still a common theme among these people. They don't give a sh!t about history and want to stomp all over it and say it doesn't matter. It's like something in their brain just didn't develop that makes theme value history. I really hope if the NFL is around in 100 years and they expand to 48 teams or maybe it is structured more like FIFA some sh!t head in the future isn't going to say everything the players we loved and watched, that none of their Rings matter.
